Spring Hill Elementary School Ratings & Reviews

Springhill is full of teachers who bully kids, and the principal there doesn't not care about the students or the children. The front office staff is disrespectful and arrogant when asking for any type of information. They have certain children whom the staff picks as their teachers pet or they have children who picks on other children with out any reprimand. This school is the number one school in Jeffersonville known for staff bullying their children. The cafeteria food served to these children is not feasible for human consumption. The staff forces the children to eat food that they aren't comfortable with and threatens to reprimand them if they don't eat it. Their athletic department is so poor. You have the attendance secretary giving out information to other people about their children when information I supposed to be private. Overall this schools doors should be shut down immediately. I all of my children their and removed them due to the lack of caring for the children in a proper and safe manor. The school is unsafe the air vents have mold and the bathrooms are not up to standard. 80% of the staff a predjuice or just doesn't care about the children. This review is from a person whom removed her child from the sports teams that my children were on due to watching the staff scream at children from basket ball to track. Several parents have been to the school about the principal not know what was going on within the school or not caring about what is going on in her school. This schools doors aren't worth keeping them open.

Spring Hill continues to strive for greatness. Students are encouraged to paricipate in a variety of activities after school in sports, music, art, math, science. This school is doing well in ISTEP and will continue to produce smart confident well adjusted children. A+ to Mrs. Cunnigham-Lester, Mr. Peters and the Spring Hill teachers and staff.

Spring Hill puts a large emphasis on the student safety. I wish the school could get funding to improve the air conditioning in the entire school and have a larger playground. But the students like her, and she makes sure the students follow the rules and keep in order. The school has an incentive for good behavior. They get a high five for good behavior and after 15 the students are able to turn those into the office for a prize. The students enjoy this and helps them take pride in their behavior and good deeds. Overall, this is a great small school that feels like a communtiy. I'm told the special needs dept is great. There is alot of intergration of the 'special needs' students with the 'regular' classes which is positive for all students.

I am very pleased with the quality of the staff at Spring Hill School. They are very caring towards the students. The principal Mrs.Cunnigham is a very motivating person. She inspires all the children to their no matter what their circumstances are. My daughter enjoys going to school every day. Many families attend and participate in functions. I would like to see GC school corporation spend more money on the school i.e. air conditioning for the gym, swings for the playground. This a very safe school.
