I have worked at this school for 10+ years and have enjoyed it. It is very challenging work. All of the staff is supportive of students and wants them to succeed. We have a lot to offer to students--athletics, clubs, and a nice variety of electives. The administration is excellent and deals with problems swiftly and fairly. I would not have stayed in this school if I felt it were a dangerous place. The person who talked below of expulsions and fights and drugs is wrong. You can check the DOE website for that info.

I was a student here at Lynhurst a few years ago. The school is divded into teams, and people say that it causes kids to gang up, but each team has around 300 students, so how is that possible? Sure, you can hear about a student getting this trouble this day, another cussed at a teacher that day, but isn't that what you hear.. in every typical school of teenagers? The teachers I had had good senses of humor, and even jokes around with students. Of course, then again, there are drama. Fights and arguments. That gets dissolved in about a day and maybe 3 at the most, you know. Teacher DO care and they DO do things about it. Now, don't tell me you've never experienced or been in school drama fights before, because I know you have. Once again, happens everywhere. Because the school is separated into teams, the hallways throughout the whole school are divided too, making memorizing the school easy. I was a top student there, and I must say that the teachers treat everyone the same, top or not. All I have to say that Lynhurst is NOT a bad school, as everyone says it may not be perfect, but nothing is perfect.
