Horrible! No parent in their right mind would send their child to a place like ISI. It's going to take years to rebuild the reputation they have created over the last few years.

The school has a great education, is well focused on academics and provides good opportunities for college. But to what ends? It is a very toxic environment. Leadership is terrible and most teachers are unprofessional and unsupportive. I can say that there are some teachers that are amazing role models, however this is not a typical aspect seen in an ISI teachers. Poor and unfair actions are constantly taken by the administration. Communication and organization are terrible. It is an extremely competitive school where students have no respect for each other and the values that we've learned from the school is that as long as we obtain the end results we want academic wise, the means have no limits. Integrity, compassion, empathy, emotional support and respect are essential values not taught at ISI. My experience at ISI was terrible. Even though, academically I feel well prepared to start college and it provided me with multiple opportunities, the emotional distress that affected me all through high school was not worth it.

"The International School of Indiana has no respect for students, parents, or a majority of faculty. The head of school is extremely unprofessional and will roll his eyes at parents and lie to them point blank. The administration does not have any interest in student opinion and does not seem to have any consideration for the rigor that is the IB. In actuality all that is important to them are statistics. One student who was struggling even reported that her parents were told to ""not tell anyone"" because that wasn't the image that the school wanted projected into the world. Some members of The faculty are incompetent however are praised by administration. However it must be taken into account that there are also many amazing teachers. It is the administration that requires a big change. The school makes last minute decisions to save statistics at the expense of students and many members of the administration are unwilling to compromise or take student input into consideration. As you progress through the school, particularly in the DP, it is not uncommon to see students crying due to the stress, workload, or conflict with other students or faculty and there is minimal support for them. In fact, faculty members have stated that ""this happens every year"" as if students crying and having no emotional support is just a simple reality rather than an issue. The communication is extremely poor and it is a very toxic environment. I would recommend looking long and hard at the school past the airs that they put on before sending your child here. It has a great education and can provide great opportunities for college, however you personally have to determine if it is worth the emotional distress it will put your child through, both through the rigor of the academics and the effects of poor administration."

No school is perfect, but ISI has been a great learning community for our family and one we would highly recommend to others because of it's fidelity to the IB curriculum, it's smaller learning environment, the opportunities to become bi-lingual or tri-lingual, and the high expectations for all students culture. We have also enjoyed the opportunities for our students to travel abroad to immerse in the language they are studying. Finally, ISI is a one:one school, meaning all students do their studies using their own computers, and the tech/design technology affords students to learn computer programming, 3-D printing, etc.

I am a student currently attending ISI. ISI is a great school, the children there are so nice and welcoming. There are two negative points about ISI, the food the cafeteria serves and its communicating skills. The ISI does not organize most events very well. I like the school because of the teachers and kids., the academic standard is very good.
