This school was one of the worst decisions that I have ever made. -Mother of a child with ASD, 3 years of experience with this school

My son went to INCA for five years. We recently moved and he is doing far better than I expected. All A's and B's with three high school courses in 8th grade. I was worried about him taking too long to do school work, and not doing well with having to actually do homework after so many years of cutting out the busy work. He has taken in all in stride, though! If a child needs one on one, and you are a parent with the time to help them, this is a great school.

Four of my six children are enrolled in Connections Academy. We are thoroughly enjoying our overall experience. That being said, I was recently given the opportunity to speak with their administration team. I was less than thrilled to learn from a young woman that all of the webmails we exchange are basically in one giant portal and any teacher can gain access to them. This made me feel less than safe in what I say to them. I would recommend keeping personal things said only over phone calls and minimal exchanges between emails. My daughter struggles with reading and she was added to two reading programs that have drastically improved her skills in this area. My son knew nothing of the alphabet before joining kindergarten and now he is reading simple words and remembering basic sight words, only a few months into his schooling. I am very proud of them and this is the perfect choice for our family. The only negative remark I have is regarding the administrative staff and their inability and lack of want in resolving issues that are brought to their attention. They instead prefer to pass it on to the already very busy teachers and ask them to fix it first. I felt ignored by them and if it wasn't for a very understanding woman, my feelings would have been irrelevant. Overall, I think Connections Academy is a wonderful school for parents who wish to remain closely involved in their childs education.

This is my son’s first year in INCA. He is a Junior. After being in a brick and mortar public school, this is far better academically for High SChool. The brick and mortar would leave students behind. Our son was afraid to ask for help or even participate in class which created severe anxiety. His grades declined, not because of lack of support. In INCA teachers are at our fingertips. They classes are challenging and they offer many classes that his old school did not. His is succeeding and it is bringing his selfesteem back up to where it should be. We know he is safe. We know what classes he is in. What assignments are due. We know his grades and also that if we email any teacher they are quick to respond and Eager to help. They are able to redo any written assignment for a better score. This helps mostly in his literature class. He may not get it the first time, but usually gets it the second time. There are so many positive aspects of having him home. It has been a wonderful change.
