The teachers at this school at are great but they are not fully supported by the administration. My child has over 40 kids in most classes and they still allow out of district kids to enroll at the school. I feel smaller class sizes are better for learning.

It's a school where the teachers care about you and there are opportunities for everyone. Not something you would expect for a school in rural Indiana.

I suppose I can't talk for how they are now. Part of the issue was the ever changing atmosphere of the school. I started with one principal/superintendent. Superintendent retired as I entered high school, principal retired after my freshman year. We had construction all four years of my high school experience. My principal was great when it came to the core academics and for the most part ensuring everyone had what they needed and he made sure that he knew every student he also had a big blind spot to the importance of arts. He was terrible at dealing with cases of student harassment. He was a politician before a caretaker. A moneymaker before a teacher. It left me salty. I did not feel prepared for college leaving high school. The guidance counselors were terrible. They specifically guided me aware from my career of interest and ignored my abilities and did not take the time to address my needs as a student. I did have some great teachers that filled the holes left by those guidance counselors but even they were cycled through. In several departments teachers stuck around for maybe 1 or 2 years and left after feeling mistreated. Others had been around for years. Many of those teachers however, are not what I'd call stellar at there jobs. They probably hit there prime 6...or 17 years before I took their classes. Some even outright bully their students when they disagree with their opinions. But I digress. That's tenure. After I left senior year, the intermediate school shut down and the high school absorbed the eighth grade. The principal I had no longer works. They stopped construction. They have no money. I imagine things have changed. Probably not for the better. Probably not for the worse. I just imagine things have changed.
