EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION! NO NONSENSE IN EDUCATION

"Absolutely terrible. Unless you are rich or athletic Montini won't do anything but hinder your success. The truth is they only allow students of minority just to claim they are diverse, when in reality over half of the student body are very wealthy and most likely white. Even the staff lacked diversity. I didn't see a single teacher of color. The reason why I noticed this is because I myself am not white. They value their pride over the success rate or mental stability of their students. If you go to bring up an issue to them they will either ignore it completely or try to sweep it under the rug if they feel threatened. They are willing to do anything to keep their proud name and that includes paying people into secrecy. So, don't be surprised if secrets are kept. If you are rich and athletic don't worry about yourself, but if you are there for other reasons then please expect to be treated poorly. Of course I'm not the only one dissatisfied with Montini's lack of ability to be a proper school. A testimonial from another Montini Student: "" In the math department, my entire grade had their ebooks (the only form of their textbook) shut down or stopped working completely and the department still kept assigning us work from it every night even though kids were actually screaming “we cant access the book!” kids failed the courses because of that. The teachers didn’t want to deal with it even when the company itself confirmed that the ebook was completely inaccessible , and just would yell and tell kids they weren’t trying and to get a hold of the book somehow and then would complain if we had questions about classwork, tests, and/or quizzes as well as tell us “did you read the book? Read the book!”...you mean the book you know we cannot access?...it was a nightmare. I got a D in a class I could have excelled in had I had access to the TEXTBOOK for the COURSE. """

The staff are clueless for the amount of bullying that goes on in this school.

Montini is an all around great school. They have a very caring and dedicated administration and a diverse staff. I will say that some teachers are better than other, but my daughter loved her Montini experience overall. She played sports that were not noticed by most because they never won any state championships but President Jim Segredo still came and supported them. If you want your child to get a well rounded education at a great private school then I would definitely recommend Montini.

I think for the most part Montini is academically above average although there are some areas that they need to work on. The Math Department used to be excellent but have recently lost some outstanding teachers and have not been able to replace them with the same caliber of teacher. Several are still excellent but if your child ends up in the class which isn't one of those better teachers they will learn nothing. I will say I did not feel that all sports were supported the same as the Football program. I get that they have been State Champions but how do you expect the other sports to thrive if there is no support for them. I'm talking sports my child didn't even play but I supported them by going to games. I Love most of the staff but have also had some issues with certain people being very rude when it was unwarranted. All I did was ask a question and was talked to like I was an idiot. Needless to say I was not happy considering what it cost to send my child there and have never been rude to deserve being talked to that way.. No schools are perfect though so overall it is a pretty good school.
