Glenwood High School Ratings & Reviews

This high school has become increasingly worse as time has gone by with each moment. The faculty is overall mostly an amazing group of people who are supportive of students, but that is where the greatness in the school ends. Much of the student has been raised with a golden spoon in their mouth, and does not know how to treat others respectfully. The students have also established cliques, and will not allow new students into groups because of their established social hierarchy. I would know this as I was a new student and have watched this occur many times. I read the reviews about Glenwood and saw many of the issues addressed in the reviews, but I did not listen, and that was the greatest mistake I may have ever made. If you are interested in moving into this School District, also be prepared to have your child go to a therapist, because that is one of the many things they will need when entering into the school, and that is in addition to God. If you still decide to enroll, then may pray that your child is successful with swimming out of Black Holes.

This school has a wonderful special education department - changed my son's life! A large school in a small town. Glenwood High has many elective classes that, I think are outside the norm, such as producing, directing, and reporting for their own t.v. channel.

I went to school here and felt I received a very good education. We have returned to the area so our children could benefit from an education here as well. As far as the teachers not staying and having no longevity there are several that I had as teachers over 10 years ago that are still at the school.

One of the greatest schools of Chatham, IL. The sports teams are amazing, the building is huge, the students are diverse, and the teachers are perfect. A few teachers are on the crazy side, but GHS has the best teachers of the district. When students perform well on tests, most of the time, teachers reward their students. This method helps others and myself to achieve better scores on the next test. This school is perfect if you do want your child or yourself to prepare yourself for college.

I go to this school and I love it here. The teachers are amazing and people are rather civil here as well.
