ACHS is a great school! Our son is definitely going to be prepared for college. His teachers are engaged and caring. Very professional! I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Hubbard. He is an amazing principal. He seems to truly care about the students. There are a variety of Honors and AP classes. The Journalism department is award winning. There are so many extra curricular opportunities - athletics, drama, bands, clubs - including opportunities for International travel. Even though Antioch is a 'small town' our students are excelling and competing with much larger and more affluent Lake County schools. Top notch school.

Much like any high school in the country, there is a core group of kids with troubles (alcohol, drug use). Like anywhere else, you need to be an active parent, and advocate for your child. Do your job as a parent, be active in your childs life and they will do great. For the most part, ACHS has a great student body, and teachers that care. I am very pleased with the education and attention that my child receives. I've only encountered one tenured teacher who really needs to be gone. Those students that want to make more of their educational experience are given every opportunity and tool to do so. We are very happy with ACHS and would recommend it to anyone.

This school needs a major overhaul, lots of Alcohol and drug usage. Not enough leadership. They really need to get rid of the bad teachers that can't teach. They are getting a new principal this summer and I hope he makes some major changes. There are a lot of student cliques. I am an experienced parent I have 3 children in this school, and hopefully not for long.

My daughter graduated from Antioch High last year. She was an honors students who was in 3 honors classes. Now she is excelling in college as a nursing student. I think ACHS is one of the better schools in Lake County. I also went to ACHS and graduated 20 years before my daughter and even 20 years ago, it was still one of the best in Lake County. I love this school and the staff is very nice and easy to get a hold of. ACHS has alot of classes that other high schools don't have like Psychology, that gives the students college credit. I give this school 5 out 5 stars
