This is a great school with a staff who actually cares about your future! Athletic programs are amazing as well!

I am currently a Senior at FHS and have been attending FHS since my Freshman year. While many people who have attended FHS feel that it's maybe laess than average, my mother attended six different high schools, and agrees that FHS has some of the best education systems in the nation. Keep in mind that those who find our PED (personal electronic device) policy too strict, also helped to bring the onset of the policy, so no one can complain. FHS Forever!!

FHS may be known as one of the "best" high schools in the area, but as a high school senior who has attended three different high schools, I can tell that it is still much below average at the national level. They do not offer any AP classes except for senior English, which isn't even graded on a 5.0 scale. So if you graduate from this school, you have almost no chance of getting into an upscale university, especially out-of-state. There are very few clubs or community involvement opportunities and in the two years I've attended FHS, I learned very little. The PED (personal electronic device) policy is too strict, making it an inconvenience for students during possible emergencies. The third star is for the Fruitland Preparatory Academy. The teachers there are very helpful and friendly, they offer a variety of classes not offered at the main high school, and you can complete many of these courses at your own pace. At the Preparatory Academy, you can make classes up, take a fun/interesting class for credits, or even take extra classes to work ahead or possibly graduate early.

I think Fruitland is a great school. Not only do they strive to help the students excel academically, they also help students to develop their athletic abilities and other extra curricular activities. They have great after school programs for those students who struggle with any subjects in school. They truly believe in the "No child left behind" program. Community involvement is very high. I have always been able to talk to the teachers and get any issue resolved in a way that everyone comes away a better person.
