I love the band aka (Mr. Sumner woot woot). I personally have had no problems with bulling, and I have great learning experience as of so far. I would recommend this school.

I would definitely have to agree with the positive reviews of this school. As a current 8th grade student at Woodland, I can definitely say that some of the teachers are somewhat strict (Talking to you, Mr. Ciasullo, Ms. Goggin, and Mr. Shafer.) but most are very friendly, welcoming teachers. I came to Woodland in the 6th grade after dropping out of the Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy after a horrid experience there. I immediately felt welcomed on my first day and I felt like I fit in with the other students. If you love hands-on learning, band, or technology, Woodland is the school for you. Mrs. Selby's technology classes are the best. I also adore Mr. Emory's science class and Ms. McGrath's science classes. However, there is one major issue with the school, and that is dealing with bullying and other issues. The two counselors at Woodland have good intentions, but they don't carry them out that well. They hang out with the SUPER entitled GLO (Grizzly Leadership Organization) group that is always above the rest of the school, and I don't believe that that is necessarily "equal." Overall, I would recommend this school, however, Lakes Middle School may be a better fit for parents more interested in their child's academics.

This school is a school with good intentions, but bad results. I have had bother a brother and a sister through this school and both hated waking up in the morning to having to come here. The bullying problem is out of hand and I found myself in unbearable situations which of course staff and faculty always try to fix, but never do. As a student myself, I was subjected to the crude and nefarious actions and billingsgate of my piers and recognize that this also is probably typical of any Junior High, but after switching over to Canfield Junior High, I found myself no longer dreading school. This is no personal experience alone either. EVERYONE at Woodland is a victim of bully no matter what. Take it from a veteran of this mad house its self. Go to Canfield Junior High.

Wow woodland is a great school. the teachers work hard to make sure every student gets a quality education. If you are interested in band, this is the school. Mr. sumner is the best band teacher ever!!!!! the school is fairly new and the only middle school in the district with 2 gyms.
