Oconee County High School Ratings & Reviews

I am a student currently and very disappointed in this school. Just to warn everyone, this school should not be rated a 10 at all. Extremely misleading. Oconee is very cliquish and teachers are not impressive. I hate to rate this school so low, but I'm disappointed with the staff and students. Otherwise, academics are really good.

The only people who think its that great are people have never gone anywhere else. The only thing good about it is that its relatively safe. Small town, small minded people make up the majority of the school.

I am a former student of OCHS, and I was so glad when I was finished there. The school is basically run by the rich kids and thier parents. If one thing is not to the liking of one of these students, their parents will raise cane until they got their way. Even the athletics catered to teh rich kids. As I said before, I am glad to be out.

We have had three kids in the schools over 15 years. The quality of the teachers has been very good, and the administrators work with you to help steer your children to the best teachers. Is it perfect? Well, no school is. But the administration is always willing to work through issues.

I currently attend OCHS and would have to say that the school is a good enough school academicly. They offer a lot of different AP courses and electives and they have very well qualified teachers. The social part of the school is horrible! There are so many cliques at this school and if you are not rich you are not going to be 'popular'. The clubs are basicly controled by the cliques. The same groups joins the same clubs and they never mix.
