The director at the Conyers location did not effectively communicate with the parents. I left her a note to contact me regarding a few concerns in the classroom, 3 weeks later, still no response! When I called the main campus to voice my concerns, the director was very responsive and seemed as if she was on top of things. However, she left me a voicemail to call her, I called back twice and a week later, still no response! Needless to say, I pulled my child out of that school and my child is doing MUCH BETTER at the new school!

Please be ALARMED and truthfully INFORMED, unlike us as parents of a child that currently attends VOFCA K-5 class, but not after today. The first corrected FACT is that the total number of enrolled students in the K-5 thru 5th grade went from 13 to 10 students total in less than 5 months. And secondly, they are NOT an accredited school as previously informed. Although this school is deemed a "Christian" faith based academy, it's management staff, who by the way is a family member of the Pastor, operates in a much less than Godly and professional manner. Elder Mia refuses to address parents' sincere concerns or even speak to parents per their requests and instead passes responsibility on to her director, Ms. Gaines, who has very limited authority with no resolution. Their educational practices are extremely unethical by combining lower and upper grade classes without making parents aware of these practices because they have SERIOUS staffing issues and HIGH and CONSISTENT turnover in both the academy and the GA Pre-K Program that they refuse to proficiently handle for the best interest of the paying parents and more importantly, their students. Truthfully speaking, do you and your child(ren) a favor and don't even consider this business organization an option for quality education because your expectation will NEVER be achieved. Not just a bitter parent with a personal matter; but a serious parent that places my child and their education as a Priority and find it hurtful and disgusting when you have an alleged faith based educational institution that preys on true and real believers. I hope they know and/or realize that God will hold them accountable for their actions and behavior and All will be judged!

My daughter began attending VOF academy K3 recently beginning with the Summer. I agree that the bookeeping is a little unorganized to me since no one ever reminds you of when your tuition is due or anything. This can be good for the parents but bad for the school. However, the director is nice and most of the teachers are very loving to the children and they take them on really good summer field trips (i.e. Fernbank, Lake Lanier, Jump Oasis, Yellow Stone Park, etc). I did observe one teacher get frustrated with a child and shake her to stop running. It was inappropriate and I did report it to the director who ensured the issue would be addressed. Other than that, I am looking forward to the fall when they began teaching again using the Beka Curriculum. She will be required to wear uniforms and I am hoping to enroll her in ballet through the church. So far, I am satisfied with VOF and have no REAL complaints besides the bookeeping. All I can say is to keep up with your receipts and talk to your child everyday to see what they did during the day. My daughter seems to be doing a lot of coloring in the lines (an improvement since she began at VOF) and she now recognizes her name.

I also was a parent that was told the day before graduation that my child had a balance and I also paid the balance prior to the school year starting. How could you tell a parent the day before and literally pull a child from a program because of your disorganization. My child wil not return next year, I will also no longer be a member of this church it is unreal. Administration is horrible. The teachers are great but bookeeping and records are not. If I had a balance you definitely would not have allowed my child to continue with school.

VOF is a nurturing school. They care a lot about their students and teachers. The administrator is approachable and compassionate about what she does and what the school stands for. The school is sensitive to each student's needs and communicate as much as they can to the parents. This is one school worth sending your child to for a life time investment.
