My daughter is in her second year at this school and we are likely going to move away soon. The teachers are knowledgeable and do a good job, but the administration is the complete opposite. I have found on almost every occasion that the office staff, counselors, etc. are extremely rude and not interested in talking with the student or their parents. My daughter has been bullied and has had some serious issue that were not addressed. Her schedule has been changed 3 weeks into a semester. They cannot seem to get their scheduling done correctly the first time in any instance. On statewide testing days, everyone is confused and little direction is given (one time, my child was directed to the wrong room, they couldn't get her logged into a computer, and she completely missed part of MAP testing due to this.) Put simply, this school is a rude disorganized mess of a place most days, but has some pretty decent teachers.

Stockbridge High has it's ups and downs. The teachers are one of three. 1. do not teach very well causing students no to do well on test that are standardized or made by the state/county. 2. Completely rude, don't answer questions, ignore students, or belittle them. 3. Great, some teachers are awesome teach well and make sure everyone in the class understands by providing help outside the classroom. The principle does TRY to enforce the dress code but students don't follow and very few are caught. The students are sometimes violent and negative. Everyone is threatening to fight and it's just not always a fun place to be. Educational wise i would say the STEAM program which i am in is great. Helping students to focus on their choice of subjects. The program gives great opportunities to the students that are participating. The overall feel of the school can both be negative and fun . It all matters on your priorities i guess

The students at SHS dress inappropriate. The principle says they enforce dress code, but they really don't. If you are looking to enroll your child at this school, do not enroll them at SHS.

I have been attending SHS for 2 years and I dislike this school. The students here are so disrespectful to the teachers and the adults. The teachers and the principles act like a friend to the students instead of acting like a teachers or principles. Now all the teachers here are not like this, but to me I think the school needs more order. There are some good teacher here, but I would rather go to a different school. To me when I go to SHS I fill like I'm in a negative environment instead of being in a positive environment.
