Our experience with Shiloh has been great so far. My child's Kindergarten teacher (Dr. Elliott), keeps us informed with an interactive app that shows us classroom pictures and gives daily reports about his behavior and academic progress. Her enthusiasm makes us believe that she is very interested in seeing him succeed. The administration is proactive, and addressed all of our concerns quickly. I've been rigorously recruited to join as many parent organizations as possible and donate my time and resources to help my child have the best school experience possible. I'm already looking forward to my 2 year old coming to Shiloh..... Go, Generals!!

Our overall experience last year was not good. Our teacher was mostly unavailable. Parent envolvement was at an all time low if any at all, and quite frankly, sad. Our teacher was not nurturing in any way, she made no attempt to get to know or understand the kids, she even told me at the end of the year that her job was merely a stepping stone for her to get where she wanted to go and would not be returning. We were never able to connect with other parents because there was no available classroom volunteering times or room parent which was also sad. Good thing my child enjoys school and does not know any better. It it was not the typical school experience you would hope your child would have. We are hoping things will turn around this year.

I am very impressed with the administration and teachers at this school. They go above and beyond to make sure each child has the resources needed to excel. The principal really sets the example from the top and his teachers respect that. My kids love learning here.

This is the best school my children have been in. I recently moved from South Cobb District. Those schools are set up like prison camps, and no teacher parent communication at all. Teachers dont return calls, they also are a bad influence on my children. Teachers there sing secular songs and play them to the students. School is about learning and respect of diversity. I am blessed to have been in the Shiloh School district.

My son attended K last year, he seemed to enjoy it. Now he is in 1st grade and I am okay with him going back. I really think that the school is okay, the teachers seem okay. I did not feel that the kinder teacher fully matched my son, she was "on the fence" about him going to 1st even though he can do work beyond 1st grade level. He was also picked on by a 6 year old in his class, my son complained a lot but the teacher never said anything. He is only 5- about to be 6 now. I really did not like how they did not go on a field trip last year. It shows how budget cuts have effected the enrichment of students. The school is clean and most of the teachers that I meet seem very nice. I just wish I would have done more research on the BS "cluster" rules and chose to buy a house in a nicer area or stayed in NY.
