Wesleyan School Ratings & Reviews

My three sons attended Wesleyan. It is a challenging, highly principled and effective school. All three were more prepared for college than others. The athletics are inclusive and teach the lessons that good sports programs do such as grit, team work and self discipline. While it is not the school for every child, it is great for those who want to put in the work and reach out to others. Like most places, you find what you look for. For those with learning difficulties another school may be better. My youngest son attended for 13 years and had the best education of the three by far. When the public school teacher started telling me that in 3rd grade my oldest son would just "absorb the times table", I began to research for a consistent and rational school. We found it at Wesleyan!

I can't imagine having had a better lower school experience for my children. Every child is known and valued at Wesleyan, and they are pushed outside their comfort zones in a gentle way, ultimately encouraging them to become the best they can be in all areas - whether traditional academics, the arts, athletics or simple social skills. It is a strong school academically, but more than that, it is a family. The teachers truly care about their students academically, emotionally and spiritually. The facilities are beautiful, but it's the nurturing environment that makes it worth every penny!

I pulled my children out of this school due to the very pretentious parents and poor education. They seem to lure you in with a campus that is very nice, but behind the scenes it is a terrible educational institution. Parents send their kids here so they can "brag" that they pay for an overpriced fee to send their kid to school. It is funny because these parents are living up check to pay check to appear as if they can really afford that Range Rover or Escalade. My children are much happier at our top ranked public schools and the education is much better as well.

Great Lower School, Small classes, friendly teachers and headmaster knows me and my family by name. My son attended good Public school (simpson elementary) year before and was a terrible experience, our first year in usa school come from uk. Huge class size one teache who was useless. This school has warm classrooms, small class sizes so any struggling student wont just be left. Kids are respectful and parents very kind. Its a great sociable school so lots of family events to get to know everyone. So worth the money!

This school is exactly what you would think it would be....full of fake people. I was surprised at how little the parents cared about their child's education. The parents are more concerned with appearance and what car they drive. Some of the kids are very snotty and rude to others. Bullying is a major issue here both in school and among the football players. I pulled my child pretty quickly as I was not impressed. Don't be fooled, there are drugs at this school and it is due to parents more worried about traveling than taking care of their kids. Avoid this place.
