My daughter was sent to GIVE West for fighting due to be being bullied by a classmate which she had enough of. I did not agree with her decision to fight and I felt like she should have told an administrator. I believe that this decision was the best thing to happen to my daughter. Before GIVE West, she was on social media (although I limit her phone) and socially preoccupied. It affected her grades and with ADHD this can be very difficult. Unlike traditional high schools, GIVE gives her structure and the one on one time with teachers due to small class sizes. She cannot worry about was is going on with clothes, friends. etc. because she has her academics to worry about. The staff are very supportive and immediately address issues. I communicate well with her teachers and they respond quickly to emails. They have given her the opportunity to succeed. As a parent stated in a previous comment, my daughter is maturing . She no longer cares about social media (completely off) and what others may say about her. She is different in a good way and it is in large part because of the GIVE West family. I see POSITIVE changes that I hope will last a lifetime. Although the kids can be trying, the staff on all levels are the BEST! Thank you GIVE West :-)

Unfortunately my child was sent to give for 2 semesters for behavior and during this time is when I noticed she was following her peers. At first I was upset of the point she had to attend give Then after a few weeks I noticed the maturity. The school is uniform Required...all black shoes required.... It reminded me of a military style discipline with a Fam ly type love for their children. I absolutely disliked the fact she had to go to the school in the beginning. Then, hated the fact when her program had ended. The school was a private school education without the Xtra Money!!!If you want your child to attend without a formal suspension. They don't provide bus transportation.Classes start early and get out early.Staff is professional & friendly. It's a mixed school, not just primarily one ethinicity. It's a Alternative school Grades 6-12Dislikes are Some trailers for classes. All the Money Gwinnett county receive instead of build new schools. Expand the ones that's already standing to be Bigger than they are.
