Some of the math teachers do not teach, or cannot teach. You'll find them pushing your kid thru the material. Very lazy, and unprofessional staff. As a form of punishment, they will deny kids food at lunch period, and unfairly include other grade levels in the process, just on the fact they eat at the same lunch time. Teachers are vindictive and lie, and will hide behind religion. Be very careful who you let teach your children.

I am a young teen currently attending this so called "christian" academy, and i would like to vent about to all parents who might consider this place for your child. Lets start with students and teachers. For the teachers, either they barely care about the curriculum and spend half of class talking about their day while we do a worksheet, the other half wish for complete silence with a very tight schedule, providing no middle ground. In between all of this, there are the students. These students, ESPECIALLY the eight grade from the 2016-2017 year, provide a more toxic environment than a chemical plant.Firstly, kinda weird but a lot of reverse racism, the N word becoming a common phrase in nearly every sentence not spoken to a teacher. Speaking as a guy that likes to do the right thing, you're out of luck. Most kids mainly use an insult such as "snitch" for kids that told on serious stuff like selling drugs or revealing that a bunch of kids skipped class to get together in a small room to vape(I'm not joking) Some administrators care, some don't. If you do "snitch" they will do everything in their power to get you to do something wrong so they can do the same, or just be very antagonistic towards everything you do. The issue got so bad, one of my friends started cutting himself before me and a few others convinced him to stop. And this situation gets worse down the line, not just middle school. So overall, its like a dress covered in heaps of garbage. Starts out looking like the perfect place for your child, only for it to be the same, if not worse, than public school. On that note, the cussing is worse than an adult swim show.

This is our first year at ELCA and my two middle schoolers love it. I like the way that everything is posted online so that you as a parent can stay on top of what's going on with your children's grades. I had to learn to adjust to that and remember to check, but I have it now. And there are teachers that email reports weekly. They do offer tutoring outside of school and the teachers have certain times where the kids can come in and get help. They have so many activities in which a child can find their niche. My youngest joined the band which made her adjustment to a new school easier and she absolutely loves it. My oldest cheers. I would say that coaches/teachers are concerned because my daughter had been slipping in her work and the band coach talked to her and told me that if he needed to sit her out for important games coming up then that's what he would do. So far we are liking the school and hope that our experience continues to be a positive one.

My grandchild attends here. She will not come back. Some of the teachers and administrators simply dont go that extra mile for a Christian school. Teachers and the administrators ( who some are Also coaches) --isn't that a conflict of interest?--issue out Demerits and tag on $ for things that could be dealt with by the parent if they were to simply inform us Verbally. It seems that this school is all about sports too. The classwork is fine but it takes forever for the teachers to put their grades in especially if the teacher is a coach. You think your child is passing then if they fail one test ... The grade is almost an F! Tests/quizzes are 50%. Do your research before coming here. My child asked not to come back herself. I agree.

I have two students at Eagle's Landing Christian Academy. One in Elementary and one in high school. We have been part of the ELCA family for 10 years. I can't see my children at any other school. I love that my children are pointed to Christ daily. They have excellent academics, fine arts, and athletics. The godly leadership is wonderful. Thank you ELCA for pouring into my kids!
