THE TEACHERS ARE PUNISHING US STUDENTS. TODAY MY TEACHER SAID SHE WAS GOING TO GIVE ME A REFERRAL FOR DEFENDING MYSELF with a student who was verbally talking to me in a way i didn't feel comfortable so what i did was put him in his place due to his foolishness and i ended up getting sent out and threatened with a referral while he who started it is only getting silent lunch. The academics are okay and the principal Mr.Craine is an amazing principal he is so supportive to the school.. I don't like the fact that i'm being punished due to me exercising my 1st amendment and that needs to change!!!

My son attended Grace Snell after being in a Cyber Academy for 3 years. It was a rocky start for him in the beginning. He received a lot of support from the staff and Principle. The teachers my son had were great. I accessed parent portal and also received phone calls and attended any conference my child had. The workload was heavy, If my son had problems with assignments or needed additional help his teacher would come early on certain days to give student extra help. This is his last year attending Grace Snell I can surely say he is well prepared for High School.

I recently attended an event for eighth graders at Grace Snell Middle School aimed at providing students with an opportunity to explore different careers. The event was well managed by faculty and administration. The students were well behaved, respectful of the presenters, appeared interested and asked thoughtful questions. The event was well organized with some students acting as greeters and escorts. Overall, the students and the event was a great success.

I wrote a review last year about this school. I had high hopes that my child would do well and that the staff would be supportive and caring. Unfortunately that has not come to pass. He has been bullied with hate speech about his race (he's white), he has been upset by the loss of his friends (whose parents have pulled out their children to homeschool) and the poor education that he is receiving. The teachers throw out a large amount of information each week for the child to memorize and then test them at the end of the week. Whether or not the child has actually learned any of this, is of no consequence. They move on to another subject just as quickly. I try to meet with administrators, and they don't set up meetings, they won't call back, they don't address issues and teachers don't follow up to concerns. I am not pleased with this school and will not be sending my child there next year.

No....just, no. I was hesitant to send my kids here, but it was their zoned school in the South Gwinnett cluster. The school has a pretty bad reputation. There are a few really good teachers here. However, you can clearly tell that others are simply there for a check. Administration is responsive to most concerns, but apathetic to others. No PTA, very little parent involvement, and the school is run similar to a prison. One of my kids is in the accelerated program. Its pretty good, but compared to the same program in his former elementary school, its mediocre at best. My other child, who is not in the accelerated program, would have fallen through the cracks for sure if my husband and I were not very involved. I am currently looking for a new home in a different area just so that my son can go to a better school.
