Teachers don't seem to be vested in their students. Students have NO regard for other student, teachers, or staff.

This school is one of the oldest high schools in douglas county this school has no self control when it comes to dealing with students. They make the boys tuck in shirts supposely for security reasons there restrooms have no doors they are always smelling like cigarettes and other smokes. And not to mention there food service we are constantly being served the same food which is tasteless and disgusting but we eat it because we need something in our bodies in order to function trough the day .honestly if I could. I would leave but I can't

I am a student at lithia springs high school and sadly im going for the 1st month of my 10th grade year. I can honestly say this school is a school set up to make your children Fail. There isn't even any windows !. My psychiatrist said since i enrolled into this school I've fallen into depression. They make the good kids bad and the bad kids worst. They aim to mess up the students records with their crazy rules just because they can. They are set to have us fail. The academic teachers are poor and honestly the other non academic classes such as (home ec. The baby class, chorus etc.) Try harder in teaching us then our core classes. If you have another option then this school please choose that one because now my future needs alot of explanation to the college i always wanted to go to.

let me start out by saying this school is the worst school i have ever seen. it looks dirty ran down, old. i couldnt believe that they would actually have our children there to learn. georgia should be ashame of their self for even having a school that look like this. so many times i have wanted to call the news, health dept and everything else to get them to close down this school. im so ashamed to even have my children attend this school. i hate that i moved here!!! and to make it so bad i cant do anything about it because the school board said i would have to transport my kids on my own. im a single mother that have to be at work by 730 and i work about 45 min away cant transport them myself. the end result dont move to lithia springs and dont put your kids in their school system!!!

I too am ashamed to say that I attended this school..."comprehensive?" Puh-leeze! The only thing that is comprehensive about the school is the destruction of the facility by the students. Adding the name "comprehensive" does nothing but imply quality of education; it does not ensure it. This school was designed to fail from the get-go because of poor planning (e.g. no doors to the classrooms, only doorways). I substitute taught there while on extended holiday breaks at my college and was almost beaten up by an ignorant, underachieving student (and her minions) who probably grew up in a hostile home environment where her parents did not encourage or take any responsibility for their daughter's education. This may be located in the suburbs but urban teaching tactics is the only way to approach this school, that and hiring qualified teachers who are not afraid of pay-for-performance teacher pay in combination with a truly supportive Board of Education.
