Great school! I'm pleased by PTA and teachers/administrators. I truly feel this school has my child's best interest at heart!

We have loved our experience at Bullard. Despite some possible disgruntled efforts by a small few, I have not seen unhappy parents or students in my experiences here. Parents are lined up around the block to get their kids here and as an educator in the district, I know for a fact that many teacher/parents CHOOSE Bullard for their students to attend because of the great leadership, organization and environment. I would do a bit more research than those few views. They are not representative of this great school and the leadership (AP AND PRINCIPAL) are easy to talk to and very responsive to any concerns. Last year's fall festival, for example, was a huge hit, and the principal was so down to earth and loved by everyone there. BTW, I'm also a "TARGET" teacher in the district and Bullard is lucky to have some of the most qualified and experienced lead gifted teachers within the district. You can't just talk your kid into the gifted program. The guidelines are set by the district.

If your child is part of the "target" group then they will receive great exposure to many things. As for the rest of the students, they are left to the side with out any attention. BTW, it seems as though you have to be part of a secret society to find out how to sign your child up for this "target" group. My husband and I went to the school to speak with the principal to touch on the lack of communication and the school criteria, in better words lack of school criteria, and she was very defensive, close minded, with an attitude because we were expressing our concern with our child at her school. We gave suggestions based off of what a parent expects for their child. The principle, Patricia Moore, did not like our feedback and dismissed everything we said to her and told us that she will not change anything nor will she look into improving things are done in the school. To make an appointment with her, I had to call 3 times and go to the school once to schedule an appointment because she didn't want us, the parents, to waste her time. I have 3 children and I have never experienced anything like this before especially from a principle. They should always be willing to meet with parents. I guess she is trying to stay away from meeting with parents since she knows that it will not be a pleasant meeting. After our meeting, I now continue to receive phone calls, emails and notes letting me know that my child did something that they should not have done. My child never got into trouble before our meeting, this just shows me that they are going to pick on him until the school year is over. Thankfully, its his last year.

The principal feels like it is okay to embarrass groups of students on loud speaker in the classroom and thinks it is effective to motivate them

The teachers at this school have been wonderful! The administration is awful. The principal is rude and arrogant- she is not friendly towards the students or parents. Every experience I have had with her in the 4 years my children have been there has been terrible. I really wish they would move her to a different school. Also, I am not sure about the 'social media' policy in Cobb County schools- but the teachers constantly post on social media and twitter throughout the day. In my opinion, they need to put down their phones and focus on teaching.
