I wasn’t expecting a lot, coming from schools up north, but a friend of mine recommended this school. Our experience has been excellent. There is strong academics, a variety of clubs and athletics. What I like is that there are plenty of AP classes and a unique program which allows your child to attend a local community college concurrently. When your child graduates, they can walk away with both a HS diploma and an associate’s degree, which means future college expenses are cut in half. Graduates are attending prestigious universities, including Ivy League schools. You can choose a path for your child, including a medical school track where they allow your child to intern in local hospitals, etc. Pretty awesome! Not sure if this program is offered at the two other high schools. Been here for two years, and I would chose to move to Fayetteville again.

I am extremely happy with my daughter's experience at this school. They education program is phenomenal, whether it is the availability of AP class, the rigor of the classes and the endless sports and clubs that are there. There is a ton of school spirit.

As a parent of a former student here I can not express how grateful I am to the leadership of this school and the guidance counselors and teachers!! My student was given every opportunity to succeed not only academically but socially and as a leader in the school and community. My student started her college journey as a sophomore because WWHS encouraged her to work for it and supported her in every goal she had along the way!!

As a student at Whitewater, I was given many opportunities to excel. I took 10 of Whitewater's many APs during my 10-12 grade years, passed 9 of them, and went into college as a sophomore in credit hours and an AP Scholar with Distinction. Even without extra preparatory classes, I was able to earn a 33 on my ACT using only what I had learned in class. Through remote video conferencing, Whitewater gave me access to Latin classes I would otherwise have been unable to take. I was involved in Ambassadors, Beta club, honors societies, sports management, and peer mentoring/tutoring, and other clubs (23 in total), and wished that I had been able to join more of the plentiful extracurriculars offered. Additionally, I was able to be in the first cohort of students to receive the Georgia Department of Education's Seal of Biliteracy and International Skills Diploma Seal. I believe Whitewater practices what they preach and truly equips students with the knowledge and opportunities for success.
