We are a relatively new family to the Dunwoody community and we have been extremely pleased with the schools in our new community. We moved from a community with great schools and the schools here are on par. Our sons and daughter love Dunwwoody high school. The 2017 Single Statewide Accountbility System awards were recently announced by the governor's office and once again Dunwoody high school received high marks and recognition. It is no wonder because the school has a culture of achievement that permeates from the principal down to the student level. I look forward to seeing continued achievements for a long time. On the facility front the school's Game On campaign has raised funds to dramatically upgrade the athletic facilities and fields for the benefit of its student athletes. The entire community is behind this effort and once again confirmation of what a special and unique school community Dunwoody is.

I am a student at Dunwoody High School and I am a member of the Wildcat 5e Robotics team. We had an outstanding debut at the Georgia qualifiers and we swept away the other competitors as a rookie team. We are currently ranked first in both the state of Georgia and the nation and we are 7th in the world out of 3,000 plus teams! Our accomplishments were featured in our community newspaper, The Dunwoody Crier. STEM is the wave of the future and Dunwoody HS is doing an outstanding job of preparing students like me to effectively compete in our increasingly global marketplace. I am both honored and privileged to be able to attend Dunwoody High School.

Dunwoody High School continues to receive academic accolades for the results it is producing for both the students and the community. Fourteen DeKalb County schools were recognized for generating some of the best student achievement statewide in 2016 as announced this month. The 2016 Single Statewide Accountability System awards is a listing of Georgia schools that have exhibited high student performance and/or academic growth. It’s measured by the College and Career Ready Performance Index from the three most recent school years. The awards are given by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and Dunwoody High School is a most deserving recipient of this award for 2016. The outstanding faculty and committed students are making this happen and offer additional evidence that Dunwoody High School is indeed a school of academic excellence and achievement.

We were new residents to Georgia and when we were seeking an upscale neighborhood with outstanding schools to move to, Dunwoody came up over and over again. I now know why. The high school is a gem. It has accomplished faculty and highly motivated students. I counted no less than 6 national merit semi-finalists during this current semester alone. I learned of many Ivy league student acceptances and numerous other academic accomplishments. They put the right emphasis on the right things and we are very pleased.
