Best experience coming from out of state. Paulding County was definitely worth the move.

My oldest has been attending Allgood since Kindergarten. She's in 5th grade this year. I've noticed over the years that certain things are not handled well. One being kids getting picked on and bullied! My daughter was never picked on or bullied until last year. Every time she told someone it seemed to get brushed off and pushed aside. This year has been no better. In fact it has been worse and has now included racist comments!I'm very disappointed in how this is being handled or should I say NOT being handled! It does not matter how "big or small" the comments are towards my daughter, it is affecting her negatively and nothing is being done! She has always loved school and is very involved in several things in school and after school. My child is starting to dislike school because she's tired of getting picked on and bullied! It almost seems like the teachers and counselor's she speaks with don't believe her or simply just don't care!

My son has attended this school for three years and this will be his last year before heading to private school. There are some great teachers at this school but in the last year, the low morale of some of the teachers has become more apparent than ever even to the students in younger grades. Administration is OK, I think the big issue at the school is overcoming the tremendous amount of poverty and what comes with it. There seems to be a disconcerting trend of the middle income parents school doing school choice to schools with better demographics, homeschooling or switching to private school by 3rd and 4th grade. This is a Title I school and getting parents to be involved has always been in issue. Middle income parents leaving does not bode well for this school.

I am VERY satisfied with the education my 3 children received at Allgood Elementary. The professionalism of the teaching staff and administrators is impressive. They work diligently to ensure each child's success and keep parents informed. They treat each student with Kindness, Caring, Firmness when needed, and respect. My oldest daughter attended AG from 2002 - 2004. She received an excellent educational foundation at AG. After graduating from KSU in 2014, she now teaches in Paulding County calling many of her former Allgood teachers "friends" and "colleague". My 15 year old son attended AG and had the best teaching team ever. His teachers like my daughters before kept in constant contact and invested in his success. He is now a student a Paulding County HS and is fully successful in the MAGNET program. My youngest daughter is presently completing 5th grade. She has grown academically this year and progressing toward advanced math classes for middle school. Parent involvement is the key to your child's success at any school! The Teachers and Staff at Allgood welcome this involvement. Keep up the Good Work Allgood and Thanks!
