The entie West Forsyth area is full of rude kids and parents. The children think they are rich, but really they are lower middle class. The cheerleaders and football players are bullies. We had to move to another area of the county to get away from these people. The teachers are weak and the kids treat them without respect. Just a redneck area of the county.

This is what you would expect from West Forsyth. The kids here are just plain mean and the school talks more about its football team (which is mediocre at best) than education. The parents are pretty typical for this area of the county...heavy and loud. The parents and kids are very rude and the kids are encouraged to bully and be ΓÇ£the top dog.ΓÇ¥ I would avoid this school if you care about education.

Not impressed with the music program here. The class size is 50 kids in a chorus class and instead of teaching the love of music, the teacher is one of those that finds pleasure in failing students. It seems strange to expect that any learning can happen in a class as large as this. Maybe they want to focus on having a beginning level class at this size where the grade is participation based. My daughter wants is now discouraged and doesn't want to continue with Chorus.

As a new student coming into this school for the 2014/15 year in 7th grade, I knew it would be quite hard to blend in and make friends. When i first came in to meet my counselor, I felt like it was a close knit school. The counselors are very very kind and the students are very welcoming. Within a week, I had many friends who had similar interests and were in my classes. The teachers are great, especially in on level. If you learn fast, i would suggest advanced as they move quicker and faster, as i take advanced reading and ela. Administration is a bit harsh, pulling children out of class for no reason but to talk about their teachers, which makes a few kids nervous and scared. The vice principals are okay but you just need to follow the rules. As for the principal, i dont know much as he is new but he is very kind, as we were told. The teachers care about you as if they were their own children, having bonds with each kid. Just a simple "hi *name*, how's you day going?" could make any day a bit better. Now, there are a few negatives. There is a large amount of kids here, as it is over capacity. In fact, 8th grade spanish is going to be in trailers{confirmed} , along with a few connection classes {rumored}. The gym teachers talk for half of the class to each other, so you sit for most of Gym and do something for ten minutes. Dont try to break dress code because every morning in the rotunda, they watch everyone. All in all, i would highly suggest Vickery Creek Middle for your kid instead of another school.
