I love the environment. everyone is always smiling. I feel that my child is safe and happy while he is here. The level of academic struction greatly concerns me and unfortunately are apparent in the overall schools standardized test scores as well as my child's individual scores.

This is my kids first year at this school. They went to Stonewall Tell for first grade and Chatt Hills for second. So far I like the school. Every school has it's positive and negatives but the positives outweigh the negatives. Pros: Great learning environment, outside in nature everyday, kids don't get sick as much, they can eat outside, kids are doing very well with schoolwork and are being challenged. Cons: they get super dirty everyday, all the teachers aren't great, no bus service and we live 20 mins away. Overall, I like the school and plan on returning.

This year has been the most refreshing for my son and myself in a long time! He received a call to be accepted to Chat Hills shortly after the school year had started and I was ecstatic because I was dreading the challenges that I was anticipating that he would face at our locally assigned school. Let me say that Chat Hills is not a "fix all" and it can work when Parents, Students, Teachers and Community work together. My son has gone from barely passing and not wanting to learn, to almost and A-B Student. He comes with stories to tell about the things that he has learned, he is more engaged in taking responsibility for his homework assignments and he "thinking outside the box"...critically. Before Chat Hills, homework was a chore and it was brutal to complete every night. Now he will get his homework and projects completed with minimal redirection and challenges. The outdoor classroom, activities, hiking and on-hand knowledge of the animals on-site are a God-sent. Sitting in a classroom all day was never a good fit for my son, but it was my only choice. I knew that Chat Hills would be a great fit for my son, but I am also engaged and invested in his learning process as well. If you are willing to develop a different mind-set for learning and working closely with your child, Chat Hills would be a great option to try. I am extremely pleased with the progress that my son is making and looking forward to him being at Chat Hills for many years to come.

My experience at CHCS has been refreshing and favorable. We are apart of the original group, so this is out 3rd school year. We've had our growing pains but as the dust settles, the kids are thriving!!! There isn't a place like this one. It's unique. My kids love this school and they have never felt more comfortable at a school. Mr.Butler has brought much need organization and communication that we lacked in the past. I'm looking forward to many years with CHCS. My children are gaining an outlook on life that they wouldn't receive at any other school!!!

We recently entered our third school year at CHCS and cannot say enough good things. Every issue that has ever come up has been handled quickly and appropriately. Both of our children are now reading many levels above their grade and have above average test scores. They are happy and thriving. I don't particularly care for the older woman who greets parents in the office as she is grouchy and dismissive at times. That is my only complaint I can think of in the entire school. Everything else is great. The wait list is now over 900, with good reason!
