1 star at best. My child has attended this school for a few years and this past year 2016/ 2017 has been the worst of them all. My child was bullied many times and the teachers have done absolutely nothing, a teacher even asked my child why did they tell me ( the mother) that they were being picked on..correct me if im wrong but, that's what my child is supposed to do. After meeting with the teachers about all of the bullying that my child had to deal with. The teachers became extremely petty... every time I picked my child up they had something bad to say, weather if it was my child was biting a pencil, to my child through a piece of paper on the floor, to my child did not raise their hand before speaking. This went on for months. It would be days when I would get my child early and I would observe how the teachers would talk to the students. Unbelievable!!!! My child had many school projects . My child put alot of hard work into it,only to get it back demolished.. makes no sense at all. I hope to find a school where the teachers really care about their students and not just coming to work to get a check.

The administration at this school is rude and disrespectful to the parents who attend the school. The school does not care about the students but rather is more worried about how it looks for when people are coming to visit. The projects in the hallway look good but how much time did my child's teacher have to spend working on those projects? Overall, the school looks nice on the outside but once you really get to know what is going on in the school you realize it isn't a good place for learning at all.

I'm a teacher myself so I have a couple of different perspectives of Cleveland Ave. Elementary. My children transferred from Fulton Co. and they have improved by leaps and bounds. This past year my children participated and placed in the science fair, performed in several musical programs (both on and off campus), & were involved in a very active girl scout troop. Their reading and math scores also improved greatly. There were also several opportunities for parent involvement as well. Last year the PTA was not very active, but I'm sure that will change this year, because I am committed to being much more involved. The faculty and staff at Cleveland Ave. take great pride in making sure that the students behave with respect and dignity.
