My son has attended Alpharetta High since the 9th grade and has grown in to a wonderful student. The school has given him several opportunities to challenge himself academically which then lead to leadership roles to help challenge others. They have many different clubs so the students can develop into the well rounded students that colleges are looking for like Model United Nations, Habitat for Humanity, Marching Band, and many others. I am so proud to have watched my son, now a junior, grow into such a responsible young man through the guidance of wonderful teachers and a variety of challenging learning resources. Alpharetta High is a GREAT School!!!

We moved here from out of state, where my daughter attended a private school. She is getting as good or better of an education at AHS. Her teachers are passionate about their topics and have motivated her to be excited about learning. The school has beautiful facilities and the student population is diverse.

The quality of education is excellent. AHS's test scores (SAT/ACT and AP scores) are among the top 1% in the U.S. according to Newsweek magazine in 2015. So, if you are looking for a challenging academic program, you have found it. The school is very diverse and that is actually a great thing. This school gives students a real world experience in terms of getting along with all types of people. There are some spoiled factions, but for the most part the students are hardworking, involved and caring. The teachers are wonderful and do a great job instructing an preparing students for college. The administration has greatly improved in terms of working with the parents and students over the last couple of years to advance the learning environment. Many teachers inspire students to become teachers themselves, which says a lot. The students, teachers and parent volunteers make the school a huge success in academics, arts and sports! I have seen my AHS graduate attend his first year in college with great success because the teachers at AHS have prepared him so well. Many graduates of AHS will tell you college is almost easy...that's how well prepared they are!

The school provides a great blend of diversity, both amongst the student population and amongst the teachers, exposing (and giving) all students a real world multi-cultural environment . Some parents, do complain about accents, but they also need to remind themselves of the world we live in. Spoken English varies from Seattle to Chicago to Boston to New York to Georgia to Alabama to England to Europe, and this school enables our kids this exposure. The faculty are extremely approachable and friendly, taking interest in supporting students any way they can, across all Sciences, English, Math to name a few. They are a great example for students themselves. I am really glad to have chosen this area to live in, and am extremely proud to send my kids (now & future) to this school. As parents, let's unite, stop dividing based on race or accents or other personal motives, and make this school a much more enjoyable place for generations to come.
