"I went to Trinity in the late 1990s so can only speak to the quality of the school then. It was by far one of the most fulfilling, life-changing intellectual and social experiences I have had in my life. The teachers were incredibly engaging and both the quality the classes and the rigor of work required were superb. Whereas so many of the best private schools in the country often create an unhealthy culture of competitiveness that values achievement and success over intellectual inquiry, I did not feel any competition or excessive stress while at the school. And I felt like most of my peers (in the advanced classes) were intrinsically motivated. It wasn't about the grade so much as it was about really loving the material. To the parents complaining about the athletics or no room for a ""life"" you're right, this is probably not the school for your family. (Yes, I had five hours of homework every night but usually spent the entire weekend with friends, not to mention that there are decades of ""life"" to be had after high school, starting when you get to the college of your choice.) If you have a bright, motivated, intellectual and high-performing kid, this is absolutely the place to send them. They will be incredibly well prepared for college and beyond. After Trinity I went to Princeton and then to Harvard for graduate school."

"I'm currently a freshman at Trinity Prep, and was recently accepted this year. So far I can honestly say that I have had some of the best months of my life as a student. The teachers care about you and want you to succeed and strive, although the workload is heavy and getting good grades is an arduous task; Trinity helps you prevail. The athletics are decent, the boys varsity soccer team is number one in the district, the football team continues to progress and grow, the swimming team gets a number of records, and the boys varsity cross country team just won states for the second time in a row. My favorite part about the school is the campus, its unique appearance gives it an impression of a ""miniature college."" The interview during the admissions process is absolutely vital, as the school can get a feel for who your child is as a person and who they want to be like in the future as a role model for the school. Trinity prides its self on its motto ""ad astra per aspera,"" which translates to ""through hardship to the stars."" This motto perfectly suits Trinity, as through the struggle and hard work you can achieve anything your heart desires in life. - Kyden Payne, Class of 2018"

I cannot say enough positive things about Trinity. We are not rich, my son is biracial, and he entered Trinity as a junior. He plays football, runs track, and does community service. He was a straight A student in public school with NO effort; he works very, very hard for high B's at Trinity- they do not give away grades! As far as cliques, those are at EVERY school but my son-who is shy- made friends very easily and has really blossomed. The experience is what you make of it; if you keep to yourself and don't introduce yourself to other parents, WHY should they approach YOU? The facilities are beautiful, the grounds are well-kept, and there is a lot of pride in the school. Most teachers have been there a very long time. My son was accepted to another high-profile private school with no interview, whereas Trinity focuses on making sure the student will be a good fit for the school rather than if you can afford the tuition. The Director of Admissions is top-notch and a real go-getter. If you and your child do what the college counselors tell you, your child WILL get into the college of their choice, as the counselors are pros and they know exactly what they are doing.

Ironic that the most recent review is recommending a homeschooling organization over Trinity Prep. This review looks very much like an advertisement for the other school named at the end and far from an accurate description of the students who graduate from TPS who return in large numbers to tell us how well prepared they were for college. More importantly, they are engaged in their communities and are able to keep balance in their lives. I would venture to say that if you speak to any TPS grad, you would get a very different response from this reviewer.

I am a former student of Trinity Prep. I spent 6 years there and would not recommend this school. I realize that many disagree with me but I say this because I believe that in order to have a school benefit the students, the students must be the priority. Students are not the priority at Trinity. I have done very well in college but many students from Trinity struggle with the real world after graduation. I have seen so many former students not be able to balance the academic and social needs of college. As a prep school this should be the what Trinity does. Now that I am almost done with college, I can only hope that if you are considering this school for your child, you check out other area schools and my suggestion would be to check out Circle Christian School.
