There are so many things wrong with the school. So many. Mainly I will compare a lot of my experiences with this school to my old school which I attended for 3 years. The school is run as if it was still small even though there's way too many students attending the school. Many areas of the school receive little funding at all. I know teachers who are pulling all-nighters trying to grade all the assignments the school district makes them assign. And that is a whole other complaint against the state's school system in general. The teachers either try too hard to teach and fit in the assignments or they literally just don't care and they throw out grades for nothing and it ends up being a nightmare of stress for the students. The library people were a little rude when I needed to print something out quickly, all because I didn't get a pass before the bell rang. Between walking to my locker, using the bathroom, and walking to the library, I needed more than 5 minutes to get there to get the pass. In my old school we didn't need a pass to print something out really quick during our lunch as a first stop! The ladies were like, "We'll let you in this time but next time you need a pass." I apparently missed the AP test registration??? I never heard of when or where it was, which should be the school's responsibility to actually announce??? The school is overcrowded, but that's something that we all know. Herff Jones is another nightmare to deal with, especially with students who don't know what a cap and gown should cost. over $100 dollars for JUST the cap and gown. Prom tickets were a nightmare too. It's supposed to be a senior night only. In my old school, people who weren't seniors had to be invited by a senior in order to attend. I have a lot more to complain about but I'll stick with this.

My daughter and step-son attend WRHS. Apparently they have too many students for the Counselors and Staff to actually care about the plans set in place and ensuring Students get what they need to graduate. I understand this was a very good school a couple years ago, but I also understand why their ratings are slipping. If your children are going to attend WRHS, be ready to take an active roll in ensuring they get what they need, and don't trust that anything you have set in place will happen until you see it!

Terrible principle and athletic director. There's a group of negative students that go to sporting events that heckle and harass players. She calls it great school spirit. Most call it bullying.

One of the best fine arts programs in a general public high school in Pasco County. Dedicated parents. Outstanding staff. The Music program (Bands & Guard) is an award winning program that was priceless to our kids' development. We only had one teacher we had to meet with to discuss teaching our kids. (Math) Other than that, the students here will succeed with the hard work that is necessary. Extra-curricular programs are abundant and challenging. The school is growing in population, programs, management, and benefits. Although our last child graduates this year, I am excited for the future of the WRHS Bulls. The programs are competitive. Graduates have gone on to programs from Yale/Harvard to Community College, and been successful.

I move here from New York and I'm a very productive student but I have a huge question mark for my future. I ask for help when is needed but some teachers don't even care. Most of them assign busy work and don't even teach. I'm taking a class and the teacher isn't even teaching them, there's another teacher teaching the class. In the beginning of the school year I've had to get my schedule changed because of overcrowding and then I get put into a class (referring to the previous teacher) that is very crowded. Some teachers even TEXT or talk on the phone with another teacher during class. I've asked for help on what classes I should take based on the career and the counselor gave me such a bland answer: "Take a lot of sciences"... I asked her about what colleges she recommends me to go to and she just hands me a website! When my family was in New York and my older sister had the same questions they gave her pamphlets and booklets of some colleges she should go to. My dad has had to argue with some teachers to pull me out of ESOL when I know both english and spanish fluently. Its a very unhelpful system. Although I am very grateful for the teachers that actually do help me.
