Beach Park School Ratings & Reviews

I started at this school when I was four and graduated at fourteen. I absolutely loved this school, and it is really bumming me out to see, even if only a few, negative reviews. Beach Park accepts and encourages individuality. I am most grateful for the ongoing love for learning that Beach Park gave to me, one that public schools probably would have crushed. Beach Park does a great job allowing kids to learn at there own speed whether slow or fast. Although, if you are gifted beyond the grades offered, like one student in the past, I could see how the road could get bumpy. Teachers are able to offer lots of one-on-one attention due to the small class sizes. Everyone at BPS is so loving and kind; my teachers and friends were practically a family. I think it prepared me better, academically and socially, than any other school would have. I was able to transition easily into a public high school, the only shock being the huge amount of students, which I got used to. I strongly recommend this school!

I attended this school since I was 5 years old and I adored the method of how students could work at their own pace. However, I advanced quickly, and as I advanced, the school became decreasingly accommodating. I especially disliked my last year, the reason I left, due to my near exclusion from the class. Don't get me wrong, I loved my earlier years and I was very fond of most of the teachers, and I really liked the school's intentions. However, the school was not only decreasingly accommodating to both advanced and behind students, but it also lost the basis of the Montessori Method over the years. To my knowledge, the director of education has stopped teaching in the classroom and the principal outright left. I really do you wish you luck, Beach Park School, but I will not return to your campus and I will not continue to praise your school as I did when I was young and immature. Wishing you luck, A Very Disappointed Ex-Student

We have been at Beach Park for three years now and really love it. This school provides a safe, nurturing environment for our two children. We can see that they are challenged, daily, both intellectually and creatively. They get plenty of outdoor time, both in physical education and in the gardens where they experiment with the natural world. Their day is full of hands-on learning. The Montessori approach is fantastic, especially if you want to raise critical thinkers with can-do attitudes! We love Beach Park!

The school has been the only place that has provided an accepting, caring and fostering environment both for my son and daughter. In my son's case, Beach Park School provided us with the only alternative when other schools wouldn't accept him because he is profoundly gifted, and although we have had our ups and downs, the professionalism and courteousness of the faculty and staff at Beach Park School are second to none. They truly care about each student as an individual and are committed to expanding all children's horizons to give each child what he/she needs. I would recommend this school for anyone who is looking a caring, nurturing yet academic environment for their children and want them to succeed in all of the their future endeavors.

We are fortunate to have found Beach Park School for our children. The Montessori approach makes learning personal, natural and enjoyable for each child. The teachers and staff at Beach Park are dedicated to what they do and care about the students. The campus is lovely and you can tell you are in a special place from the moment you walk in the front gate. We really feel part of a community at Beach Park. The emphasis is on the children learning how to learn and not on learning how to take tests. They get involved in their schoolwork and projects because they are interested and the teachers support them in what they do. I think there is no question they are getting what they need academically and the bonus is that they are also becoming confident in who they are and their own abilities. We could not ask for anything more and recommend that parents who want a warm, positive and supportive education for their children consider Beach Park School.
