Anyone who sends their child to this school is doing them a huge disservice!! There's so many negative aspects to TSMS - no electives (except Turkish), no athletic programs, no extra curricular programs, no lunchroom choices, etc., etc. - but I'll focus on academics. Entering high school, my son was pretty far behind because of TSMS - particularly in math and science. However, it was in the less tangible areas where he truly suffered. It's in middle school that kids learn things like note taking skills, study habits, test taking skills, and managing assignments. With these, a student could catch up no matter how far behind. Without them, they will continuously struggle just to keep up. To put it simply, children at this school never learn how to attend a real school. So much of the instruction was homogeneous web material, and the same stuff day after day after day, with no need for thought. It wouldn't ever be fair to say that TSMS is virtual schooling with a few semi-competent babysitters.

We have been with TSMS since the fall of 2015. Three of our four children attend currently and the fourth will be there in fall 2018. We have had a wonderful experience with the administration, teachers and other students. The staff all genuinely care about the well-being and success of your child. They are willing to work with you and your child to help them do their best and succeed. They offer a wide variety of classes and clubs to help develop well rounded children. We appreciate the family atmosphere that exists among the staff and the families. The school is small enough that all the students know each other across the grades which I think fosters a better learning environment since they are looking out for each other. TSMS is not a perfect school - none is. But we have found over and over that if you approach the teachers and administration with your concerns and questions, they will go out of there way to find a solution that works for everyone. I regularly recommend TSMS to people looking for something different, something better.

Could have been much better! Based on my experience with this school in the past few years, I will not recommend anyone to enroll here. Public schooling doesn't look so bad when compared to this school.

My daughter started Kindergarten at TSMS when it opened 2015. Wonderful school with great staff. Now in 2nd grade her exceptional teacher allows my daughter to think and calculate math in her brain (better than the common core math...Thank GOD!). Being selected to attend CMP (College Mentorship Program) in 2nd grade is absolutely outstanding, I could not be more impressed and elated with how this school achieves academic success, caring for my daughters education beyond this schools 8th grade, into high school with college as the goal. Very impressed! The Art Club after school is a tremendous outlet for creativity my daughter thoroughly enjoys. Parent involvement at our school is very high, especially with our PVO (Parent Volunteer Organization) administered by our engaged, intelligent Vice Principal. Could not ask for a better school, academic environment, technology utilized with computers, online library and smart board, friendly atmosphere and most importantly my daughters happiness and academic achievement. I highly recommend TSMS.

Not good. Leadership needs a complete re-work. Micromanaging every aspect of a student's life sets them up for failure.
