Christian schools use to be about parents who wanted a Christ based education for their children. NCS has built their school on a Godly foundation and has now officially ran the foundation into a business generating only cash flow. It is frightening. Make sure you check before enrolling if you want to pay for your child to be in a Christ based school or in the “new” NCS way, worldly politically money operating foundation that they run today. It is the OPPOSITE of a Christian foundation. They care more about their self image than they do about the children or their employees. They are not compassionate and loving to the children or staff. They expect the children to act perfect, leaving no room for normal kid-like curiosity or mistakes. They push them out and shun them when they don't measure up. The other reviews are right on about status, financial or otherwise. It's sad.If you are employed by the school, donate money or work on the board then your child(ren) will be treated great and excel. A lot of children are bullied and the one who bullies is rewarded. I read a letter from a bullied child to a “friend” pleading saying, please don’t tell the teacher because I will get treated worse by the students who are bullying me. The teachers expose the one being bullied and make it worse on the children who need help. NCS needs help with administration and being advocates for all children. They use to operate more as a ministry than a "business" now it’s just about the money. Teach by example.

Average to Good. I am hoping that the school focuses on character development in the coming years and takes a stronger zero tolerance policy on bullying.

The staff at this school is not equipped to deal with bullying. My daughter started at this school from day one, being called names. It was addressed with the principal throughout her entire almost 2 years, and in the end she was withdrawn only for the school to take a stance as her having the problem. I have multiple text messages, letters, pictures, and recordings of the bullying my child experienced at this school.

Having had two children start in preschool with one attending all the way through her senior year at Northside Christian School (the other is currently in ninth grade) I cannot recommend it highly enough. The arts program is outstanding. The marching band has won many STATE competitions. Indeed, being first in the state of Florida speaks for itself. The Athletic program has really come into its own. Especially since we've had Mike Alstott, a former NFL Super Bowl champion running back, become head football coach. The track team, swimming team, baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, softball teams etc. have all been recognized for their excellence. Of course it goes without saying that the academics at Northside Christian school are among the best in the state. Having had graduates attend Harvard, Columbia and other Ivy League schools over the years speaks volumes about the quality of the academics at Northside.
