A waste of our time. Useless learning experience.

This was the closest school to where I had planned on moving to so I looked into it for my disabled child and was told that they could not accommodate him. I never knew the difference between charter schools and regular public schools until this happened to my child. I was determined to do some research and this is what I learned summed into one quote, “Charters have a choice whether they want to be racially and economically diverse schools that serve ELL, Special Education and low-SES kids. Based on the various admissions and management policies … charters choose their students, rather than families choosing their schools— in essence, school choice is charter schools choose.” [Cloaking Inequality, 11-11-13]

Why are we providing coffee is schools for kids to purchase?!?!?! MSA is also now adding a Cafe with coffee and espresso machines! Why are we teaching these kids to supplement good sleep habits, proper nutrition and exercise with caffeine. A lot of these kids are taking medication that either negatively interacts with caffeine or negates it. These kids don't have the self control to not drink it or to think about the ramifications it will have on their bodies. I am truly astonished with this decision and I think it should be stopped.

"For an ""art"" school the facilities are really shabby. Their large theater is smaller than other schools and looks like it has never been finished. I also think that they are so focused on color hair and Halloween make-up all year long that the main classes get left behind and the real education isn't a priority."

This teachers allow students to be creative which in turn makes the students more open and excited to learn.
