This school is great for middle school. It is a very diverse group of people who are very accepting of all kinds of kids. The classes are small and the approach is personalized with the student's strengths emphasized. There is a lot of time to focus not just on academics for academics and testing sake, but for the student to branch out and learn new things. They take field trips that relate to what they are studying and learn by application not memorization and regurgitation. This is a wonderful opportunity because as we all know middle school (especially public) is just a very tough and pivotal time. Definitely check this school out

This new school is setting the gold standard as an amazing sanctuary for the middle-schooler's soul. It is a safe haven that allows them to explore the world and gives them the opportunity to discover themselves. Love the freedom they are allowed in their academic choices which strengthen their recognition of their own abilities and gives them true self confidence. A shining example of academics through the arts!

When I look at Middle Schools here in Florida, I realize that there are a lot of good, competent schools that can get the job done. However, I am feeling especially blessed that my son can go to a school that not only gets the job done in an amazing way, but also brings him culture, the arts, language, sailing and amazing experiences in a warm and loving environment. His class takes field trips every Friday. Sometimes they might go to a museum, sometimes they might volunteer cleaning up the coast. They also go sailing out in the Gulf. The experiences he tells me about fill me with joy. I wish I could have this education. He comes home and reads me his poems, or he tells me with excitement about what he is doing in science. The joy that he sees in learning is priceless, and I only wish all kids could experience that. I know that we are truly lucky to have his school and his teacher in our lives.

I love the environment at this school. My child is learning and filled with joy. The small class size and teaching style provides so many opportunities for in depth learning and questioning...not just memorizing facts...but involvement and understanding. Every Friday is field trip day!...from museums to sailing lessons to community service projects....a great way for my son to end every week. He loves the field trips. And I love to hear about what he is learning...and to hear him so excited about the world around him. The teachers are warm, knowledgeable and committed to helping students succeed.
