Bright Futures Academy always has the students' best interest in mind. Their philosophy of educating the "whole child" is demonstrated by the time and effort teachers and admin spend teaching and getting to know the students. The school has a family environment; the principal knows all the students by name and the students know her. The open door policy makes it very easy for parents to speak with administration in person or by phone if they have a concern or question. They also have quarterly board meetings and town hall meeting and parents are encouraged to attend. They recently became an Academic supported school, which has been a very positive transition. The school is more financially stable and has been able to raise the bar for it's teachers and students. All teachers are experienced and certified, and are dedicated to the students' education. They also have never been a "teach to the test" school and will continue that philosophy.

Our experience was good. My son started in 6th grade from a small private school. He enjoyed all his middle school. He had good grades, he liked the atmosphere. By 8th grade,7 out 70 students went to Suncoast high school. My son had two credits. He did very well the first year, that means he was well prepared. He's in college now.The only thing I was not happy about was the turnover of teachers otherwise I liked the school.

I have two children at Bright Futures Academy. I could not be happier with the school. The environment is open, supportive and conducive to learning. The philosophy that is stated is actually put into practice. I am pleased with the level of education and the caring way it is delivered. I took one of my children out of a gifted program to transfer to BFA and he has lost nothing in the switch.

This school is amazing. The principal and staff know the parents by name, and the principal is very accessible. I email her teachers and/or the principal quite a lot, and they always answer. When my child went through a period in which she decided not to do her homework, the staff was on top of it. My daughter started there in 7th grade, and she feels very welcome. My daughter struggles in math, and they provide tutoring. She has not had any incident's with bullies either. Her grades are coming up, and so is her self-esteem. This place is a gift. A private school atmosphere without the cost. The staff have been the most caring people I have ever seen gathered under one roof, and Ms. E. (the principal) always knows what is going on with my child.

My 3 children all attended and graduated from bright Futures. 2 started in Kindergarden and 1 from 5th grade on. All had great educations and experiences at the school, 2 graduated in the top 5% of their high school class and are now in prestigious universities with scholarships and one I high school, It really concerns me that the incredibly negative reviews as published as fact when thefacts support a totally positive atmosphere and result for the students I knew and know who now attend. Ths staff and administration are top notch and always trying to improve the education of each child. Some teachers who don't perform are let go and I imagine these are the primary source of the negativity that is sometimes presented on this sight. Regardless, most parents I know feel as I do, that Bright Futures offers their students an exceptional education and experience.
