Worse school I've ever signed my son up! They are all about their money and I've witness a child calling their parent in front of the "principal" on a Friday because she was STARVING and the school would not feed her unless she had money for food! Sad to say principal did nothing for the little girl. Also I had received a call from the principal threatening me about me leaving a review and telling me the only reason a parent would leave a bad review is because they are unappreciative and continue to bring up some made up stories about my personal life! I mean really where did she come up with these stories not professional if you ask me. School is ran by family so if you have any issues with finance (as I did) they will cover each other till the end! They will not give out any report cards unless everything is payed off in full! I'm so thankful to be drafting him from this school and homeschooling him for the years to come. At least I know I'm not being robbed for my hard earned money! And I guess I'm one unappreciative parent since I've left this review. The only thing I will miss is my son's teacher Ms. Lucy.. great woman, everything else needs work on!

I teach here as a High School Teacher. The Administration is wonderful. They do care about the children . They offer a Christian focused, safe environment. No it isn't a huge facility with fancy equipment but there are clean classrooms, new books, a beautiful playground, free lunch and hygienic bathrooms and kitchen. There are many science equipment to use and educational games and supplies. I have a Chemistry Lab in my classroom. The Assistant Principal is a mentor and they spend their own money on helping needy kids. I see this with my own eyes. No teacher at any school makes a million dollar salary but you do get paid on time and have benefit contractors to help you with life and health insurance and I'm grateful for what I have

I went to South Orlando Christian Academy from 3rd grade through high school and graduated in 2003. The administration is very friendly, very willing to work with parents with their finances, and are very easy to talk to. The food they served is cooked daily, hot and fresh meals, offered to the students free of charge Monday through Thursday. If administration was so concerned about making money as some of the reviews have said, they would charge three to four times the amount of tuition they do now and definitely charge for meals like all schools do in the area. The curriculum offered is almost 2 years advanced from public schools and very competitive. I graduated with honors and went on to graduate with a business administration degree. They may not have had an elaborate science lab, gymnasium and fancy classrooms, but they are there were there to help the community by offering a very affordable education. Many former students, including myself, go back and visit. If you want to judge the school, go there for yourself and form your own opinion. It is a great school where your children can be safe and learn good principles.

South Orlando Christian Academy is a private school providing a Christian education, everyone is welcome to their own opinions, comparing the school to a public school is obviously not the way to go. The Abeka Curriculum provides an all around education, their uniform dress code allows for further classroom concentration. If credentials seem like a question you may have regarding any staff member please do not hesitate to give the school a call. Thinking about enrolling your child? 407-859-9511.
