HORRIBLE! If you have any choice at all do not let your children attend this school. We purposely chose to live in Longwood simple because of the schools. We are now purchasing a home in Oviedo so that our remaining 2 children will not have to attend this school.

My son has been here for the past two years and we have loved it here. After relocating from a very expensive school in Maryland in supposedly the best school district in the country, my son is so much happier here!

Lyman is a safe and friendly school. The prestigious Institute of Engineering is housed in Lyman and freshman take college engineering classes. The dean of discipline doesn't do a good job of listening to students about their concerns with teachers, peers, and policies. The way he handles situations is like a first grader. The drama teacher is highly obnoxious and has favorites. She uses excuses to yell at students. This school needs major changes.
