Mater Brighton Lakes Academy is such a great school. I am so happy my wife and I decided to put our kids in this school. The principal Mrs. Cangemi, teachers and front office lady Mrs. Valery are so amazing. I recommend this school to every parent that lives in the kissimmee/poinciana area that want their kids to excel.

Curriculum is great but as to the staff i think they should be more consistant. Its always a hasstle. My daughter has been enrolled for 2 months and im still yet to go by a week without getting a phone call in regards to every little stuff. Was told that girls cant uae any head piece unless is the one with the school logo and few days later i see girls with different color of bows not sold with the school logo. Shoes either black or white full color yet seen students in the pick up area with colored shoes. Spirit shirt bought wasnt told its only to be worn on fridays so i get a phone call and was expected to come back and bring a polo shirt. Live in a area that school bus is provided for the school yet was told that she cant ride on the bus due to the fact that the kids riding on the bus from my route arent supposed to be riding on the bus because they were some exceptions made when the school forst opened. Ok so let me get this right, exceptions for some but not for others? Oh and lets not even talk about the expenses for school projects and the volunteer work requested for parents. No ID asked when picking up students and i say this because i pick up my nephew and never have they asked me for an ID. Should i mention the fact that my kid prrtty much got BULLIED her first week of school told the teacher and i when i finally got to meet the teacher 3 weeks later and told herwshe told me that my kid complains too much. Thia weekKher class had a field trip couldnt be more excited for her to attend, and what happened? She comes home telling me that she was pushed by another student and fell mind you my kid has growing pains (which im sure she is not the only one) told the Immediate adult and was told "its ok" NO IT IS NOT OK! Parents need to teach their BOYS MANNERS AND RESPECT towards females and TEACHERS NEED TO BE MORE ATTENTIVE. So please do not excuse my french but i am quite honestly ready to take all these incidents a step further and have something done about all of this.

I'm very happy with this school, kids get a lot of home work but good thing about it kids get the package for the whole week on Mondays and they do not have anything for the weekend so is fair for the kids and parents I'm a full time working mom and I keep up with son homework ..I'm really glad we chose this school for my son and recommend this school ..
