My daughter has no break from 8:40am until 2:09pm. She has classes back to back during this time, almost six hours. She does not have even a fifteen minute break during this time. She does not have lunch during this time. Lunch is at 2:09pm. By then she is hungry and feels sick. The school day has become like an endurance test. She also can not talk to friends because there is no recess time and at lunch time the kids are made to sit in alphabetical order. So there is no incentive to go to school since talking to friends is what kids really look forward to. I don't think adults are allowed to work at a job for that long with no break. Why is this happening to our kids then? On top of this, the kids are required to keep a three inch binder. This does not even fit in their backpacks with their lunch box. Instead of loose leaf paper, just enough for that week, in a thin binder, they are required to bring six 100 page notebooks in the rings of the binder. This weighs many pounds and makes it even harder to get the unwieldy binder in and out of their backpack fourteen times a day. The binder is so wide they can hardly fit their hands around it. What is frustrating is that they are not even using all this paper that they are burdened with carrying all around. The teachers give them handouts. Instead of the handouts having three holes so they can put them in a thin binder, they don't, so the kids glue the handouts into their 100 page notebooks. They are also required to have six folders in their binders. The binders can't even support all these notebooks and folders so it is hard to move the notebooks and folders around on the rings. All this frustration for no reason. Why not have a thin folder with loose leaf paper and dividers, or a two three-subject notebooks? My daughter actually thought college will be this way. What a way to make kids not want to go to college! College is nothing like this. In college you will be trusted to organize your own papers in whatever way works for you. You will choose either notebooks or a thin binder with loose leaf paper, but not this cumbersome ridiculous approach that just makes everyone hate school. Way to go making school a completely miserable experience. Who knows the sad impact this will have on hundreds of kids lives.

We are very happy with the school, my children enjoy it very much. I would recommend it, no doubt. Celebration is a community where parents care about their kids education and teachers seem to be motivated and following the same path.

ZERO!!!! The teacher caused the worse day of our lives! We spoke with her in the open house (the day before) and she showed us where the gym is (carpool parents stay in front of the gym) . Also I wrote my phone number in her paper (it was in a desk when we got in the classroom) and that my daughter was carpool but she put my daughter on a bus! She didn't even apologies. She didnt even care about us! We went there next day and she said that she realized the mistake when she got home but she never called me or the school to find out if my daughter was found. The bus stopped very far from where we lived ( we were living there for only 2 days). There was no adults or kids there. I don't understand why the driver let a child get off the bus in the firs day of school if there is nobody waiting for her. She was 7 years old. After I don't know how long a lady with a dog found her. We took 1 hour and 40 min to find her. It took about 45 min for the school find out that she was put on a bus. The school didn't help with anything! just gave us a number from the bus schools that never answeared. Nobody knew where the bus would stop. They never called to ask if we found her and we took almost 2 weeks for the principal finally see us! Nobody did care about it! The principal said that it happens for at least 4 or 5 kids every year! She seems like it is normal! What??? :( My daughter came from a wonderful public school in another state where it was very organized so we got very scared since the time we got to K-8 to pick our daughter up in this first day because they walk a long way (small and bigger kids together. They all leave at the same time). They don't have a number or anything to prove who the parents are. Anybody can get there and take a child. It's a HUGE mess!!!!
