"I have gone to this school since 5th grade, as soon as I walked into the classroom I felt welcome. My teacher in 5th grade was Ms.Coogler, sadly she was moved to second grade she really was a great teacher. In 6th grade I was kind of scared that the upper class men would be mean, but I was very wrong. I looked up to the upper class men and they never did anything to be mean or disrespectful to me or my friends. I never seen any type of bullying at this school, it has a very good environment. In 7th grade I was lucky enough to have Ms.Fender, I was the youngest in the class, but never felt that way, none of the 8th graders made me feel any different than them. Also Ms. Hazen (now Hazen- Barnes) was one of my favorite teachers, i never really liked history, but she made it fun and very interactive. My 8th grade year has been a year to remember, I love Ms.Hamlin, Mr.Henry and Ms. Faughn. (And others its just that these are the ones who really impacted my time here) Ms. Faughn is a really unique teacher, who approached science in a VERY different way. I'm not going to lie at first I didn't like her because she doesn't (as she says) ""spoon feed us"" She believes that we need to be independent and I feel she really prepared me for high school. I will never forget this school and I hope it looks the same in years to come."

This school offers a lot of great programs, but due to a lot of unethical behaviors it really makes the school not worth it. They will threaten to send your children back to their original schools if they are struggling, instead of actually getting them the help they need(that is what should make a school special). They are no better than the lower graded schools. They just kick the kids out that struggle and keep the ones that don't require much teaching. Some of the people are rude, and if you have another child, unless they are going into k don't expect him to get in. Children are put into a pool and they may not ever get in. Good luck if your considering.

It was just a great school. I made so many memories in my 8th grade year last year. Shout out to juicy Henry (Mr henry) for being the best teacher ever. Every teacher made sure you were doing your work and getting your stuff done on time and I thought that was amazing. Thank you for such an amazing middle school time because I think if I went to any other school I'd be a different person because this school really makes you the person you are today -Kyra Baker
