We like ISPA a lot. I don't understand those bad reviews. And most of the time, when people are not happy they write, when they are happy they don't say anything!!! Most of the students I know at ISPA (and I know many) are very happy there. Many are doing dual enrollment with Miami Dade College or FIU, like my daughter in 9th grade. Some go together in Metrorail after school to the Inter American campus Miami dade College. The sport: You have to know that students are allowed to be part of the sport team at their public homeschool. There are many activities during the school year like picnic, a party for only students at a Dadeland hotel, movie nights at ISPA,...It is a small public school that looks like a private school and it is like a big family.

This school is atrocious. Though I believe that on my own I achieved a higher education and knowledge of the material given to me, I cannot say the same for the rest of the kids here. There really is no prestige to this school at all because the selection is random, you could end up with an Ivy League student the same as you can end up with the biggest crackhead in Coral Gables. This school has an extremely inconvenient way of dealing with problems because they do not LISTEN TO THE STUDENTS, though I believe this will change with Dr.Blanco that does not take away from the fact that the office has favorites and rewards people that do not deserve it. There are students who blatantly bully others and do not get punished because of the favoritism in the office. You’re better off going to a big public school where the main office does not have the time to get to know everyone. The office also likes to focus on little issues instead of addressing the bigger picture, they’d prefer to catch and 18 year old who’s walking around with a pack of cigarettes (whose parents probably gave them to him/her) and call it a day than acknowledge the actual lack of professionalism within the administration. There’s a difference between getting close to a stufent and just pulling favors for them.

My son is very happy at this school. The teachers are excellent and the principal is very involved and energetic. This is not just an education, it's a cultural experience.

I can't really complain about ISPA correlating with having prom or not having any sports because it's fairly new and if you all really expect the school to have these activities but you're complaining about the teachers, you should maybe take a step back because they could be possibly trying to fix the staff issue. I do agree with the lack of experience of staff. I used to be a student at ISPA and when I was a freshman I really liked the staff in my own personal experience but when I got into sophomore year, some change in teachers were horrible. Very unprofessional. The english department is excellent though. I am currently a junior attending a different school but some positive remarks I can make about ISPA is that it's clearly a small school in which all the people you are studying with, you consider them part of your family. The english teachers are great and the location is amazing. I wish the best for this school but if I were in charge, I wouldn't worry so much about the dances that come up, although it would be nice if this school was traditional but it is not and you have yo accept that. I would start to worry about the education it gives.
