This school is very good but they should give less homework.

Let's start with the high turnover rate. The 2 teachers that my son started with at the beginning of the year left before the New Year. The teachers don't have much to work with or anything to work with for that matter. The bus service they use is A&S Transportation and an absolute joke. The martial arts are now once a week not 5. My son has never wore the Martial Arts uniform I had to buy. They had a 15 yo 8th grade girl in my 12 yo son's 7th grade class. The classes consist of different grades thrown together. All their reading and work is online and I don't see how sitting a child in front of a computer is teaching them anything. They DO NOT have a school nurse so I don't know how they dispense insulin, inhalers, & other medication. A school counselor comes by on Friday. There is no school kitchen so they have the food catered everyday. There has been numerous occasions when important information couldn't be sent home due to the printer being broken. I just don't see where raising $750,000 for a playground is beneficial at this point. If they raised money for a kitchen they could save money that's being wasted on the caterers they use. I made a huge mistake putting my child here and won't be returning next year for the obvious reasons. I haven't disclosed what happened there today, but let's just say the resources are not available and the sincere concern for your child is non-existent here like they are in the regular Lee County Schools. This puts these students at a tremendous disadvantage. I am hoping that my child hasn't suffered academically from the year he has spent here. Do your homework and take a tour of the WHOLE school before you ever consider putting your child here.

Love this school!!! It is like a private school setting that is free and public where the teachers and administrators treat students and parents like family. My son is in 3rd grade and has been at the school since he was in kindergarten. I was almost ready to change schools a little over 2 years ago when the new company took over because I was not happy with the previous company and administration. However, with the new company teachers and the administrator give out their cell phone numbers and email so parents can call them anytime. The school has an open door policy and actually welcomes parents to come in and volunteer. The school has great communication and uses a call out system along with flyers and letters. Parents are notified about everything, when parents don't pick up the call the first time the system continues to call them. I sometimes get tired of the calls but appreciate them. Some parents just need to pick up the phone instead of waiting until the system calls them back later. Not only do they have an ESE program that supports students with disabilities, but they work to support all students needs, with their small class sizes and caring teachers and staff they are able to do more than most schools. Don't get me wrong they do believe in teaching students to develop strong character and hold them accountable for their behavior and that is what I want. Some parents rather make excuses for their kids rather than teach them right and wrong. My sons best friend had serious behavior issues at his previous school so he moved to this school. They developed a special plan to help him improve his behavior and rewarded him for his good behavior and yes shall I say it held him accountable for bad choices he made. Now he has gone from an F student to a honor roll student and his behavior has improved greatly. I come to the school regularly and volunteer and the principal and teachers are always welcoming and appreciative. I highly recommed this school to all families and students.

Ha! this place is Horrendous. Dont and I mean dont send your child(ren) here. There is zero parent interaction. The teacher turn around rate is very high and I am sure for a good reason. God for bid if your child doesn't act like a model soldier they will call the police over the littlest reasons. They claim to be an ESE available school and that is the biggest joke. They are mixed with other children of mixed school grades. Ex: 3 and 4th graders in one room. They ARE NOT set up to be a real ESE school. They have a "room" upstairs and a teacher that they label as ESE but there is 0 children in the "classroom". Their "time out or ISS" consists of sticking you child into a 5th grade room where they will be subjected to being bullied because there is a "bad kid" in there. Their emergency notification is another joke. For instance the bus that my son rode last year caught on fire while they where transporting children and NO notification was sent out of this incident. This year the where on lock down do to gun on campus at the high school across Santa Barbara and again parents where not notified till late that night. The buses are NEVER on time and that even if they show up. There is a ton of schools to choice from and if I knew then what I do now I would have NEVER subjected my child to this.

This is my granddaughter third year here. I cannot see her going to any other school but this school. I love the teachers and the principal Mrs. Fowler is the best principcal I have ever work with as a parent and grandparent. She takes time to answer questions and my granddaughter loves her and her teachers. If you want the best education for your child or grandchild please let your child go to Cape Coral Preparatory Fitness Academy and see for yourself.
