This used to be great school. The new Principal is destroying it. He also is taking happy effective teachers and making them miserable.

Stay away. This school used to be promising and now it is awful.

My daughter just completed 6th grade and I found the teachers to be not very good. I have found 3 of them making several mistakes. The Assistant principal does not seem to have a good handle on her teachers.

HORRIBLE SCHOOL FOR SO MANY REASONS. First of all, MOST of the teachers there are NOT ACTUALLY CERTIFIED! They completely lie to your face about this very important fact. The bulk of them do almost nothing and are not qualified. The teachers are constantly quitting. My son had THREE math teachers this year and a SLEW of subs in between. The kids are in so called AP and sadly, the bulk of them failed the EOC as a result of inconsistent and poor teaching. This happens ALL the time there. They "offer A ICE classes, but almost ALL of the kids FAIL the final exams as a result of poor teaching, and end up with no AICE credit! They certainly don't tell you that! 2. The kids are NOT really learning. There is typically MORE than 30 kids in each class and the abilty levels of the kids varies greatly within each class. For example, your AP class will have kids thrown in that have serious learning issues, and vice versa. This is bad for ALL of them. REALLY BAD. They are running a business maximizing their profit...they CLEARLY do not care about the education of your child. The kids are not learning the curriculum. They spend the bulk of their time watching movies and sitting around doing NOTHING. SERIOUSLY. 3. They run the school like a prison. Literally. Its a stressful, nasty environment. The kids are treated like inmates. Not allowed to use a cell phone..AT ALL..anywhere!. Not even to call YOU. Locked in the classrooms and not allowed to use the bathrooms. In addition, the FEW bathrooms they have are usually LOCKED! They have security people who are rude and yell at the kids. 4. The sports and activities are VERY expensive and they don't even have proper fields, coaching or equipment. There is no REAL baseball, soccer or football field. They STILL have NO GYM. For PE. my son sat around a tiny 'weightroom' most of the year packed with 30 other students! Doing NOTHING! The tennis team charged over $250 per student and NO COURTS with an UNQUALIFIED "coach". 5. The current principal, Bonnie May, does NOT respond to communications. She barely interacts with the students or teachers. She is there to oversee budget. She does NOT know the kids.6. They have NO ideaif your child is there or not on any given day at any given moment. The 'attendance' protocol is a JOKE.I really could go on and on. These people are not honest about what the school is providing.

This is one of the worst schools I have ever put my kids in. They say one thing and do another, they do not inform you of anything and the principle I have written so many times and not one letter has she answered or not wven to schedule a meeting with her. My daughter was enrolled in the school and she had an accident and couldn't attend the first quarter and they have her spot away and now they say she has to go to lottery and even though her brother is enrolled she did not make the cut is what they say. 5 teachers have quit of my sons classes! So disappointed with the whole thing!
