Pope John Paul Ii High School Ratings & Reviews

My time at this school was hell. Prior to this school I had strong marks and friends. Upon coming to this school I was bullied, I struggled in school. I will mention I was not from a local Catholic school, St. Jude, St/ John etc. I was new and everyone already had friends. Everyones experiences are diffrent but I could never endorse this place.

I have a son at this school for 4 years now and it has been the perfect fit for him, he is happy and cannot see him anywhere else. The new principal there is a great asset to the school and community, that was really needed.

The absolute worse school for any child. My daughter was a straight A student with confidence and lots of friends before we moved her to Saint John Paul. Had to pull her out as guidance all the way to the priests do not care about the kids. Teachers swear at kids and they promise financial aid and give nothing. A total scam and contradiciton to spirituality. Public is healtheir than this school

This school has been a blessing to my family this year. We came from another local private school and my daughter was being bullied by other girls. We made the switch to Saint John Paul (formerly Pope John Paul) and could not be happier! Not only have the teachers been excellent but the students have been so welcoming and friendly. My daughter has become more outgoing and her new found confidence is everything I could have wanted for her. Although some of the teachers are challenging, she is really learning, respects her teachers and her grades have improved. We spoke with her counselor upon arriving and gave her my daughter's background information on why we were making the switch. The counselor immediately gave us information on how my daughter could get involved, introduced her to a friendly and outgoing student to show her around, and the counselor made her feel very safe and supported. Her favorite teachers so far have been Mrs. Foley, Mrs. Catino, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Stebbins, Coach Taylor, and Mrs. Bentivegna. They have been INCREDIBLE. In addition to our little success story, I get weekly or daily updates on her grades (depending on my preferences) and the teachers are great with email. They all respond within 24 hours and post all of their homework and assignments online. The school's recent name change was a smart one as so many improvements have been made in just the past few years. It was a great way to get rid of their previous negative image as a new administration has taken over and is doing an excellent job. We would definitely recommend this school to everyone!

Very happy at this school. Excellent teachers that care about there students and work hard to help them succeed. I have never felt that this school is all about how much money you donate. It truly is a great environment for education .
