Very good school, my daughters are so happy there!

My child's experience at this school has been great. His teachers were amazing. Each and every teacher he had truly wanted him to learn and succeed. He was challenged and had to apply analysis and critical thinking to many of his "soft science" classes. I was impressed that he didn't just have to regurgitate a memorized response. In addition, he learned a lot in band and culinary. His electives were truly enriching

Prior to the 2016-2017 school year, I would have rated Loggers Run MS with 5 stars. During the last half of my child's 8th-grade year, he experienced continual group bullying, harassment, defamation of character, efforts to isolate, and efforts to incite violence against him. On the heels of my child's complaints to administration, I submitted mutliple, documented examples of this to school Administration. While Administration was willing to talk about this endlessly, they did nothing to cease the behavior. One student was moved away from my child solely due to my complaints to the District - NOT to the school. The remaining problems were not dealt with at all. In fact, the highest of Administration made every effort to diminish my child's experience by telling him, "friendships have highs and lows,” and also instructed my child’s teachers “to stay out of it,” despite the clear rule of: “No teacher, administrator, volunteer or other school employee shall permit, condone or tolerate bullying and harassment.” My straight A child's grades fell dramatically. My child felt terrorized and unsafe at school. Both my child and I reported this multiple times to Administration and teachers, verbally and in writing. Palm Beach County school district rules are clear on this (Title 6Gx50 Chapter 5. Pupil Personnel Section 5.002), but were ignored. The seeming reluctance of the school to act was even more astonishing given that other parents were voicing same/similar complaints about the same child(ren). The school did not report to the District the acts of bullying, as they are obligated to do.This review would be a 1 star if not for that 6th and 7th grade years, under a different Administration, were good. Additionally, the Director of the ESE department is highly competent and compassionate.Note: This page indicates Giblin is still the Principal. He retired at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.

Hi. I am an 8th grader that currently goes to this school. I am in the pre med program and love it. I have made great friends here and learned so much. The teachers I have had were so nice and help you succeed. I cant say its the best school ever, but it has amazing programs ( pre med, pre culinary, and pre law).
