As a former student, I can honestly say that this school is the reason why I am so successful today. NHHS fosters a safe, comfortable, and stimulating learning environment. There are plenty of opportunities to become involved and to do whatever it is that you enjoy. The faculty cares so much about the well being of the students, and as long as you put in the effort you will reap lifelong benefits from attending this school.

This school is a joke. The teachers are terrible, they don't care if students pass or fail. They allow the out of town students to go around and do whatever they want, but if an intown student were to do it they will get into trouble. The drugs that go around the school are ridiculous, kids going into the bathroom to pop/snort pill. They only good part about the school was the security guard, and they got rid of him.

Three of my children attended the "new" high school and have since graduated. I really don't have anything good to say about this school. This brand new building leaks when it rains. Air quality is a nightmare. Many teachers and staff have issues with the air quality as well as many of the students. School is run as if it's a prison. Drug issues are very prevalent in this school as well as many fights. Books and essentials to learning are horrendous, if existent at all. Considering North Haven receives grant money the school should not be in disrepair nor should the students have to do without learning essentials. If you have a choice, I would definitely NOT send my student to this school.

Active parent and student community with solid teaching and administration when I attended this school years ago. New campus has been built in the meantime.

I think the NHHS is a beautiful campus and has good teachers, overall SAFE place to send your child. The only knock is the state $$$ that fund the school seem to be short every year due to the most $$$ going to the inner city schools. Every Child deserves a fair amount of $$$, the $$$ left should then be spent on the schools with the most needs. Our town leadership still live in the dark ages but the school leadership is strong and the teachers are very innovative in their teaching philosophy. Teachers truely care about their students although they are the 1st mentioned to be cut when they want to chop the town budget! I would love to see a sustainable table and other green iniatives added to the curriculum.
