The teachers give too much work. none of the teachers communicate with each other. All they do is pile up homework until you possibly can't handle it anymore. Last week, we were given two assignments, write 4 essays, 2 for science and social studies. All essays had to be atleast 5 paragraphs long One teacher. on 8.2 recently yelled at a students and said "GET OUT OF MY SIGHT I AM SO ANGRY WITH YOU." All the student did was check his grades on powerschool when another student was talking. He should have been paying attention. There is absolutely no reason to yell like that. In my opinion that is just over the top, i'm surprised no one has reported that, and if someone were to report it, nothing would happen no one cares at that school. It's all about passing, nothing is about learning anymore. The only good thing I have to say is that Ms. Yetso the social worker is absolutely fantastic, she helps me with mostly everything and the only reason why i'm getting through the school year is because of her. She is the only good thing about this school.

I attended the Guilford Antiques Show today at Adams. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the interior of the building seems to be in the process of being updated. When my daughters attended Adams, the place was in dire need of improvements, so it's about time! My girls loved their time at Adams and GHS. I always had positive experiences with the staff and administration. My oldest graduated from college with honors and my youngest is in her senior year at UConn. I'm a proud and happy mama! We are lucky to have such a great school system in our little town.

I had 2 children go through Adams who are now at GHS. Both of my children had a really good experience there. Although the building could use some updating, I found the teachers and administration to be a caring and well-meaning bunch. My son played sports and my daughter loved the music program. No complaints.

The teachers on 7.2 were in my opinion only focused on the above average children. The ones that needed help seemed to annoy them and forget it if your child is shy, they will just pick on your child...form of bullying in my opinion. I spent the year undoing the depletion of self esteem they instilled on my daughter. It got to the point that my daughter would say "why bother" when doing her assignments she is just going to give me a c. My daughter had such a terrible experience on this team along with some other people that the administration should take a closer look. It seems like they can do whatever they want since the leadership....welll I'm not sure it exists. I read the the other reviews below and they are most likely written my staff to offset the negative or their child was not on 7-2. I rated it a two hoping 8th grade will be a drastic improvement.

If I could give 'zero' stars...I would. School's principal, Mrs. Walker, is the most passive administrator ever!! She doesn't want anyone to 'rock the boat.' Sweeps all problems aside to avoid conflict...end result: bullying!!
