On a daily basis, we witness firsthand the educational, emotional and personal growth our children receive at Littleton Preparatory Charter School. Mrs. Ash, Mrs. Lyra and the teachers and staff guide them and teach them to be constructive members of the community while preparing them for the prolific leadership roles that await them in the future. Littleton Preparatory Charter School is a beacon of educational excellence within or community, our state and our country.

I have been at Littleton Prep since 5th grade, I am currently a graduating 8th grader. My experience at this school has been an interesting one. The junior high teachers here take every single kid into careful consideration and all the teachers try to build positive relationships with the students. My experience at this school has been an interesting, exciting, fun, exceptional experience that has benefited my academic self.

We currently have two children at LPCS. We LOVE the teachers. They make a positive impact in our kids' lives on a daily basis. They've always been responsive and caring, not to mention EXCELLENT teachers! The Administration team is wonderful. One of the best examples of the "customer service" focus of the Administration is the personal greeting given to students and parents each and every morning. It goes from that point and runs all throughout the day in meeting the administrative needs of the school. Also, the Governing Board is made up of an excellent group of parents who truly desire the best education and environment for our kids.We also appreciate the encouragement of the parent/child relationship. Families must be fostered and encouraged and our school does a good job at providing opportunities for that. Following in succession is the community that is fostered through the various events at and through the school. Including parents' volunteer time.

We have 3 children at LPCS. In fact, our oldest is going to graduate this year. Here are my top 3 favorites:1 - I love the ability grouping for reading and math. We've had kids who were both in the top group and the lowest group and each child learned where they needed to be. I wish all schools did ability grouping so everychild could be reached at their own level.2 - I love the AR reading program. I like that student are required and encouraged to read for pleasure and for their reading grades. And yet, because of AR, each child can read about the subject they are interested in reading.3 - I love the community at LPCS. Our family has been here for 9 years, and we plan to be here for more years still. The staff know my kids and theyknow the teachers and love them. All the staff is great! The staff makes the community great. Kids pick their electives and after school clubs based on who is teaching the class. We are thrilled with the education our kids are receiving and we recommend LPCS to anyone.

Our family found Littleton Prep after a disheartening experience at our neighborhood elementary school. Desperate to find a school where my children would be a priority I came across Littleton Preparatory Charter School. The school was just beginning their pre-k program and had room to offer my children spots. During my first visit to the school I was surprised and excited to learn that LPCS "ability groups" all students starting in kindergarten. Each child is assessed regularly throughout the school year and assigned to a specific classroom environment in the core subjects of Math, Reading, Writing and Spelling that fits their specific needs. This is an incredibly revolutionary and proactive approach to education. For example, 1st grade has three different reading classrooms to accommodate the different levels of reading that each student may be at. These levels are not culturally viewed as better or worse than the other, just simply developmentally appropriate. Littleton Prep is also working diligently to revamp various curriculum with the latest in reading and writing programs to ensure success in the early grades. And don't let the B- "Colorado School Grade" fool you. Littleton Prep has also worked hard to not become a school that "teaches to the test." So although the students may not be the best test takers, the dedication of the staff and administration to provide the highest education to the students is unprecedented, and despite the school grade the students go into high school incredibly well prepared. The administration at LPCS is constantly looking for ways to improve not only curriculum, but school environment (an amazing new playground has been added in the past two years). Last year a new Dean of Students, Aaron Weimeier was hired. With new recommendations in the district being implemented concerning mental wellness and school culture (to address bullying and violence), Mr. W is at the forefront of approaches to improving school culture from the inside out. He is implementing new, innovative and proactive approaches to positive school culture daily. I just had conferences with my children's teachers last week. I left feeling excited, humbled, and thankful for all of the amazing work that is done day in and day out by the incredible staff at Littleton Prep. I can't imagine being at a school that offers anything less.
