My son graduated with a 3.8 GPA last year and overall his experience was positive . My daughter is a junior and has a 3.8 GPA . She has had good experiences and some negative but overall I think it's been ok. The school has been seriously crowded the last couple years but with the 3rd high school being built to relieve that I believe her senior year should be better. It's hard to be a good teacher with so many students in one class. As a parent if I have gotten involved I have usually had a good experience getting my daughter extra help when she needs it.

Worst education I have ever received. Couldn't park at my own school and the education itself was forced. Prarieview takes many different students with different goals and different learning styles and shoves ye same material down every students throats. I dropped out months ago to get my GED and become a registered nurse and things could not be better. So glad i left that joke of a school

This school is a joke! As an educator I am embarrassed that this school is still functioning. It's policies are punitive and don't promote education. For example, if a student is away from school for a school event, teachers refuse to provide work ahead of time and then when students return, grades have dropped and in some cases make students ineligible. When addressed with the administration it is a known issue, but no resolution is on the table that teachers will follow. What? In addition, the attendance policy is so lax that each teacher makes up their own rules. Again it is often punitive to students. More concerning is the lack of safety and security. With attendance policies that are lacking teachers, administration and the district communication center have no idea who is or is not in class - hello! Does anyone else see a problem with that? Now as a parent I am super involved in the school, so is my kiddo. I believe that what you put into High School is ultimately what you get back. I support teachers and administration and am always the first to help when needed. As an educator myself I know the struggles of a school. PVHS not only has the 'normal' struggles, but the struggles beyond that impact the students learning environment and jeopardize their safety. These are issues that are to BIG to simply sit by and watch. Something has to change and it must start with fair, equitable and followed policies that omit favoritism and force teachers and administration so stop fighting against each other and fight for what's right for their students.

This school has had problems in the past but with the new administration there now it is really improving. The more you put into and are involved in the school the more you get out of it. I would recommend this school as a great place to get an education.

School is a zoo. Wrestling in classrooms. It is not a good choice. I don't think it is setup for learning.
