Utterly terribly. The principal of this school is entirely too difficult to deal with on a civilized basis. I will be taking all of my issues directly to the school board from now on.

This is out first year at this school, my son is in Kindergarden. I LOVE all his teachers, councilors, etc. His learning is amazing and they help so much with his ADHD/ODD and potty issues. They also always inform me on updates with him. ONLY issue we have had is the Principle. I never seen him smile, never look happy, never sound excited when a student says hi to him, or anything. AND we have had issues with him as well personally and heard alot of parents having issues with him. UNLESS this is just his personality, BUT bring a principle to these kids, no matter age or grade, he needs to be cheerful. Us parents even just got a email regarding the 3-5th graders how a few "these students will miss the party of celebration due to lack of effort". WHAT Principle seriously writes that!!! That is the ONLY issue we have had. Since we have had issues together, we do respect each other otherwise, as in if we pass, usually me, says hi or good day, etc, but I always have to say it 1st. I see him do this to ALOT of people.

I find it ironic that so many folks posting here complain about the continual fundraisers and the school not being properly funded when these same people are the ones that have voted against the district's proposed bond issues the last four or five years. The district has grown tremendously, and is vastly underfunded, the facilities are stretched to breaking. Yet the community has continually declined to pass badly needed bond issues to address the problems, and then complains about the problems. The teachers are dedicated, but they have not seen so much as a cost of living increase in their salaries for five years. These are professionals with college degrees, student loans to repay, and families to support. If the community wants a top notch school, then perhaps it should support the school. For what they have to work with, and the number of kids per class they have to manage, the teacher's do an amazing job.

Verbatim from the D49 official Falcon Flyer received 8/30/2011: "Overcrowding has been a hot topic in District 49. Falcon continues to be one of the fastest growing districts in the state. We currently serve about 14,000 students. This is perhaps the first year that our overall student population has not increased, but that does not change the fact that overcrowding continues to plague our district. Eight schools in District 49 are currently over-capacity. They include Woodmen Hills Elementary, Falcon Middle School,Falcon High School, Evans International Elementary, Springs Ranch Elementary, Odyssey Elementary, Ridgeview Elementary, and Skyview Middle School. Of the remaining schools, not a single one of them is less than 75% full...Teachers struggle when thirty or more students outnumber them..."
